Excellent size.
I'm an very new artist and I'm learning watercolours and was looking for a decent mixing pallet. This fits the bill. I love how you can put in your colours and there is a large area for mixing. The fact that the edges are lower on the inside towards the mixing area makes it very easy to pull the paint into the mix yet the outer edge stops me splashing it all over my desk. It's big enough for me to use at home, yet small enough to take to my craft club class and not take up too much table space. Very pleased with this item. Not too heavy yet sturdy too. Not having the paints all the way around ( only on three sides) makes it very easy to clean too. Would recommend for any budding artist.

Very nice, but very heavy
This is an excellent pallets and I have used it for both watercolour and acrylic paints. It is quite small, However my teacher uses an old saucer, and it is a bit more elegant than that. It is easy to clean. The wells for the paint are quite small, but if you turn it over there are some larger wells underneath, but no mixing area, unless you use an empty well. This suits me well, as I don’t like to get all my paints muddied. I have retained the packaging so that I can safely store it when not in use. I wouldn’t take it out to class or anything as it is quite heavy,but excellent for use at home.

Compact porcelain palette, great for mixing, easy to clean
The palette is ideal for taking with you to art classes. The wells are quite small but the rectangular area is large enough to mix several colours. Very smooth surface, much better than plastic palettes. Solid and heavy too. Does not stain, easy to clean.
