Are they suitable as pool shoes?

Not sure about in a pool. I used them in the sea n on the beach. Obviously if they get wet n you take your wet foot out of them many times the soles do start to come out

Can you machine wash these, if yes how so?

I just put them in washing machine

I'm a size 7-8 depends on width, should I go for a 7 or 8 in these
