Great Quality Product, a must have!
A must have product! Why take any risks of flooding your home? For only about $14 more we feel like we have more peace of mind! Looks and feels like a quality product upon inspection! Still important to use hammer arrestors to prevent water surges when water kicks on, to protect your pipes, machine, valves, etc!!

Although, the only way to find out the performance is in time burst which I wouldn't want to know. For the price, I will be changing this every five years. Looks Very well made.

Waist of time and money.
Did not get to installing these for a couple of months after I bought them, my bad. Hooked them up to our HE washer and they must have changed the water pressure enough that neither the cold or hot water would fill. Tried taking out out the fine little screens and that did not help. Ended up buying new high pressure hoses and the washer immediately returned to normal. The box says these hoses do not reduce flow, I disagree. $30 lesson learned.

Good, but...
Bought these to replace 15+ year old standard hoses. I was not having any failures with the standard hoses but came to understand that old washing machine hoses can be an accident waiting to happen, so I ponied up for Flood Armour hoses. These hoses are somewhat stiff/firm and have coil memory coming out of their shipping box, so I hung them in the autumn sun a while to get them to relax a bit. they did relax some, but are still twice as stiff as a regular hose. Installation was simple and straightforward and connectors (hand tighten only per instructions) went on tight enough to not leak. My only issue: my washer is 25+ years old and its threaded male hose connectors *might* be more recessed than newer designs?? When attaching the 90 degree angled connector to my machine the hose connector ends up at a tilt, a slight offset, putting the hose smack-dab tight again the metal back of the washer and too tight in my opinion. Had the Flood Armour connector been the least bit more extended ( say 4mm ) I would not have this issue.

Never worked.
In theory, it would be nice. On the outside, appears to be well made. Unfortunately I received a dud as my set never ran cold water. It was returned immediately after installation.

Piece of mind
Our washer and dryer are on the 2nd floor with no drain, these give us a bit more piece of mind.
