Great for my 7-year-old. I used it for her birthday party. You’ll have to match the pics/directions for each dog to the materials. I highly recommend doing this and threading the needles before passing it out to a group of kids. (I bought extra needles). You’ll also want glue on hand. The stickers were plenty sticky, but some of them were impossible to remove from its paper backing and so they needed to be glued onto the dog. Overall, highly recommend! The kids loved it and they all came out so cute! Great value and quality!

Fun craft for the kids. Easy first sewing project. Comes with large plastic needles and pre-pimched holes to sew threw. My 4 year old moves this.

Cute and easy! Note: It can be difficult to separate the little stick-on pieces from their backing paper. Make sure an adult is doing that and do it carefully. I had to heat the piece up with a hairdryer and then pick the sticky away from the backing paper with a pin.

Pros: - Colorful and fun to make. - All needed pieces are in place and well organized: bodies, cutouts, thread, needles, scissors, stuffing. - Instructions are provided. - Have not seen any misprints or defects. - Kids loved working on them and were pleased with how cute they turned out.. Cons: - The adhesive on the fabric cutouts sometimes sticks to the paper backing and peels off with it (whereas it should stay attached to the fabric to make it stick to the body) and there are no convenient tabs/edges to start peeling from - I would say this is a point for improvement. We had a couple pieces of cutouts ruined before we realized we had to be extra careful peeling them off. My kid needed help with all the rest of the pieces since she did not want to get upset ruining them. - I do not appreciate the amount of plastic packaging that is used - every creature has a separate bag with the relevant pieces, and also the needles and the threads are packaged separately. Though I can see how it is supposed to make it easier to separate the projects and figure out what goes with what, I feel that this is such a waste. - Also, I would suggest the scissors should not be included (aslo a waste and a cost increase) - I bet every household has scissors (even if not kid-friendly.. The parent could help. And I suppose a child who could handle a "sewing" project like this would be able to safely use regular scissors. Besides, there really is not much to cut - only the thread). Despite the cons, we still really like the product! I do hope the packaging will be revised anf the issue with the peeling would be addressed.

We used hot glue to help glue the seams and other pieces to make sure they would stay. Cute, fun and great for kids to make. Yes the sticky pieces were nice and sticky, but when you stuff them, edges could separate. Kids made this to gift to grandparents. Everyone likes it. Grandma enjoyed making a background for them too! Now we're not nervous about the kids around Grandma's Precious Moments nativity. This one is kid proof!

This is the best craft kit I have ever purchased. I bought it as an activity for my grandkids. I got it out today for fun with a six year old granddaughter. She loved it!! I was so surprised by the exceptional quality. There are many, many birds included. Each one has its individual parts packaged neatly in a cellophane wrapper. No searching through a mass of pieces to find what you need, and each bird has its own instruction sheet. The felt is sturdy and colorful. Die cuts are absolutely, spot on, accurate. Needle holes are evenly spaced and cleanly cut. You receive a package of full skeins of embroidery floss in multiple colors - way more than you actually need. The birds, birdhouses and tree are a nice size, perfect for little hands. (See photo for relative size laid out on a one inch square grid.) In the end a six year old was able to do most of these on her own. Younger children would need more assistance but could still enjoy this craft. If you are an adult and need some cute birds to decorate a classroom or Sunday School room, this would be perfect. The entire kit is packaged to make it perfect for a group project. Five large plastic needles are included. There is even a child safe scissors, although an adult cutting the floss with a sewing scissors would work out better! Only one improvement is needed: As many have stated, it is really difficult to remove the backing to adhere the wings and other stick on felt pieces to the body. If you aren’t very careful you will remove the adhesive. I was unable to come up with a good trick that would work for this. But once you are successful the adhesive itself is firm and tight. You just have to be patient in finding a spot to lift the backing. A child cannot do this part.

Great craft idea for kids 7 years old and up. My grandkids were all able to do it independently with very little help. Stuffies turned out great. Went together perfectly with all holes matching up. Good quality fabric provided. The only negative is that the pieces that are applied after sewing is completed do not stick very well. These pieces need a stronger type of glue adhesive so that they do not pop off. Still rate them a five star.
