I’ve been using the CareSens N Plus Bluetooth glucose meter for a few weeks now. It syncs with the app, which is super convenient — no more writing down results manually. The readings seem to be pretty accurate compared to my other meter, and the test strips are reasonably priced. The screen is easy to read even in low light. That said, the app can be a bit buggy — sometimes it drops connection or won’t sync immediately. Also, setting it up for first use felt a little confusing. But overall, for what you get, it’s solid and useful for everyday tracking.

I use this for the purpose of improving my glucose levels to help avert diabetes. It works perfectly, has clear instructions and the bluetooth function and andriod app work smoothly and intuitively. I was considering a continuous monitor but most users state they are not very accurate. The finger prick is adjustable and really hasn't been a cause for concern. Two tips/notes: 1. After you have completed the bluetooth pairing and have your test result the bt reading starts after you pull the strip from the monitor-it is a good idea to make sure that bt is turned on and you have the mobile app open before you remove the test strip from the monitor, eventhough the app will wait a little while for you. 2. Make good use of the notes section of the app for adding details about eating habits, recent activity, and which finger and side was pricked. With both my hands face down I number my fingers from left to right and then use an L or R with the number for a quick indication of where I last pricked. E.g. The thumb side of my right index finger is 7L.

I was suspicious if this very affordable glucose monitor would do its job and to my surprise, it far exceeds my expectation. Let me get the neg out of the way first. Connecting to its Bluetooth was a nightmare, just wasn't able to connect after 10+ tries. Found a YouTube video that help solve the issue, basically had to go to Bluetooth setting in iPhone and forget the CareSensNPlus (my model) device from My list (from previous failed connections), and then follow instruction to reconnect Bluetooth. After that I was successful in the connection, and thereafter, the Bluetooth has been solid, all measurement automatically uploads to iPhone once you pull out the test strip. I don't have any other monitor to compare but to me everything is solid and very easy to use, and nothing seems flimsy or will break anytime soon. I think its fairly accurate although again i don't have much to compare against, but it seems reasonable from my clinic test result, and has been fairly consistent from all of my testings. I'll likely get another kit to verify. The lancet tool is easy to use, just insert the lanset and twist the top. It has an adjustable needle length which is nice so you don't poke a larger than needed. A really nice touch is that It came with a very nice soft pouch that stores everything you needed on the go. I didn't think this would be useful but if i go to work, i can take it with me without looking for another bag that's not made for it. The pouch just holds everything neatly in place with its elastic straps and zipper pocket

Easy to use, accurate, comes with everything you need to start monitoring your blood glucose levels. Refills of the test strips and lancets are not expensive and easy to find. The monitor links with an app on your phone to also help you keep track of blood pressure, weight, exercise, medications, etc.

I want to take time to talk about this product. I only do this when I find a product that is exceptional or terrible. Today it is exceptional. I have used this device for about three months now and to use it is rather simple, but I did have trouble pairing. It may be because I am not a computer geek, but I had to call two different times to get my App on my phone to detect and pair the device. It works well when you are able to follow the instructions, but there is also some things that need to be considered, like removing the device from the BT devices and re-registering it again. This was a small glitch, but with the customer support, it was very easy. The two people I talked to were excellent. I greatly appreciate their professionalism and expertise in getting me up and running. I also want to say that the test strips are economical when compared to other brands. I did compare and found that this brand is a good price. I'm a happy camper and hope to not need this device forever, as I am getting my blood sugar level down, since I am able to see the results of my food intake and how that measures out with the numbers as I check my blood sugar daily before breakfast. Learning to live with diabites and how to control my blood sugar level will help me to live a better life and have better health for the long term scenario.

Lately I've been taking 2-3 readings for each test, and the variability concerns me. For example, testing this morning was 101, 108, and 114 which seems too variable. I've read the literature about what to do to make tests more accurate, and even so my I can't get my results to match. It seems to me that this is unacceptably inaccurate, but in truth, I don't know what accuracy to expect from any glucose test. The test process is straightforward and simple but not intuitive. I gave this product one star strictly due to lack of repeatability but I really don't know if othe glucose kits would be any better.

Great device to monitor glucose. You don’t have to be a diabetic to purchase one. I recommend pre-diabetic to purchase this device to monitor and lower your A1C.
