Pretty Amazing for the Price !!!!
**BACKGROUND**: After Years of waiting ( mostly to see when micro-LED Technology would be firmly established and the price not too insane ), we got ourselves a 75QNED90 LG Living Room TV. Awesome TV, but just so-so sound. Dialog wasn't sharp enough ( for my old ears ) and often buried by background noise/music. Anything with any significant Bass sounded "rubbery". I thought we could go all discreet components ( AV Receiver and at least three somewhat decent speakers, no sub ), but my lady didn't want to see all that, so no joy there. I had Never heard a Soundbar that I thought sounded decent before, but it seemed to be the only way to solve our sound problems. **SHOPPING**: Started reading and reading and stumbled on VIZIO's V51x-J6, after reading dozens of on-line articles, blogs and Amazon Reviews. I had started looking for a 3.0 or 3.1 soundbar, but kept coming back to the VIZIO V51x-J6. The reviews ALL seemed to REALLY LIKE THE CLEAR DIALOG CENTER CHANNEL, which has it's own level adjustments !!! That and the Really Great PRICE had me "looking at it hard". I kept trying to find anything better for under $300 and I could not, so I bought one. **SETUP**: Set it up last night. Easy Setup. TV feeding the VIZIO via ARC, the VIZIO pretty much did everything, all by itself. I had to press the two power buttons, to sync the wireless sub with the sound bar, but that was about it !!! Our ROKU Ultra Remote ( which had been controlling everything in the room ) still did !!!! *****RESULTS*****: It started out-of-the-box Way Better than the TV Sound. A little fiddling using the VIZIO Remote ( IT is Excellent, with LOTS of adjustments ) and we soon had a Brilliant Soundscape !!!! We spent several hours listening to all sort of music, tv, movies and YouTube videos, adjusting a bit here and there. AWESOME SOUND !!!!! ...especially for the Price - Sound Way Better Than I could have Hoped For, at a Price that made us both Very Happy !!!! The only ( tiny ) flaw is the sub, which is a bit "thumpy" on certain rock music tunes, and altogether Too Present above the rest of the mix. We turned it down to the lowest setting, and it's fine... Pretty good actually. Listening to stand up bass on Bluegrass, then electric bass on some Albert King+SRV tunes, you could actually Clearly Hear every bass note being played ( versus the usual clumps of mushy, muddy, pounding bass that come out of most Subs ). SWEET SOUND, GREAT PRICE. Should have done this a long time ago !!! Will post again if anything new happens, but on day-two, WE ARE REALLY, REALLY HAPPY !!!!!! - Don&Deb -

Great sound for the price and easy setup.
We wanted a 5.1 surround sound system without the big name expense. I have yet to be unhappy with Vizio products and this V-Series 5.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Dolby Audio, (this is not the DTS unit) is no exception. It comes with wall mounting hardware for studs or sheetrock. The EQ settings on this are simple to use and adjust. It is louder (decibel wise) than our other Vizio 2.1 and sounds even better. Perfect amount of bass and volume for a 250sq ft room. If you really want it to, the bass can "boom" but it all depends on your ear and what you like. My wife and I like to feel the bass and enhance the sound experience but I don't want my "trunk" rattling, though this can do just that if you want it to. Treble and Mids are also great, not tinny, not muffled. It is very sound forward and one of my favorite features......Speaker volume adjustment! Setting the Center Speaker volume up and Dialog Boost volume up means you can actually hear what is being said without having to turn on captions because of the ridiculously loud music that always seems to overwhelm movies. You will have to play with the adjustments, it doesn't just come out of the box sounding perfect (although it does sound great out of the box). So just remember to be patient, I know that is hard sometimes but trust me, it is absolutely worth it. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS...can't stress that enough....you know who I'm talking to. My parents have a Sonos system that was over $1600 and I really don't notice a difference, other than the cost. Maybe it's worth it some how...because some people think more money means better product "Ohhh Shiny" (sometimes that is true, not this case) but if you want to save money and still have a really versatile 5.1 system that is GREAT for movies AND music, give this Vizio 5.1 system a try and see for yourself and before you think it, no I am not being paid nor was I given this thing, I just think it is really that good. Just to give some added proof, I have been a guitarist for 27 years. I've had several cheap and high end amps, I have been around what is considered High quality sound systems ($100,000+) in recording studios. That isn't to say I know more than you, but sometimes it is nice to know that someone who has experiences that you may not have had, can help you with making the best decision for your lifestyle and budget. I really enjoy helping people and I honestly do think if you buy this and take the time to set it up the way it works best for your listening experience, you really will be happy and save money and family and friends that come over will probably be asking "What brand?" and "How much was it???!". That has happened to me and my wife already...Good luck, happy listening and be happy! You deserve it!

Great Sound in a Small Package – Perfect for My Gaming Desktop + Side Monitor Setup
I picked up the VIZIO V-Series 2.0 Compact Sound Bar to use with my gaming desktop and side monitor/TV, and it’s been a solid upgrade all around. For such a compact soundbar, the audio is surprisingly full and clear. Dialogue comes through crisp while gaming, and the bass has just enough punch to make explosions feel impactful without shaking the desk. It's not a subwoofer-level thump, but it’s perfect for a desktop or small room setup. Setup was super easy—just plug it in, connect via HDMI ARC or optical, and you’re up and running in minutes. I mostly use it via Bluetooth and HDMI depending on what I’m doing, and it switches inputs pretty seamlessly. It also looks great—clean, minimal design that tucks nicely under my second monitor/TV without crowding the desk. I’ve used it for everything from Call of Duty and Spotify to catching YouTube clips and streaming shows, and it’s held up across the board. ✅ Clear, rich audio for a compact size ✅ Easy to set up and use ✅ Looks sleek on a desk or under a monitor ✅ Great value for the price ❌ Bass is decent, but don’t expect sub-level lows ❌ Remote is basic—don’t lose it Final verdict: If you want a clean audio upgrade for a desktop or monitor setup without going overboard, this soundbar punches above its size and price. Highly recommended for gamers, casual streamers, or anyone tired of tinny monitor speakers.

Weaker rear surround magnets, but great remote & OVERALL awesome sound per value!!
Pretty nice so far! I bought to replace my older Vizio SB3651-EG, after having issues with the surround/sub cutting out periodically. (I did solve that by changing the output of my TV to ARC vs e-ARC, while leaving the HDMI still plugged in same however.) REARS: Note that this newer system's rear speakers are over 2 oz lighter than the older, and by plugging them both into this sub, the older ones do push more sound!! Disappointing that Vizio went with cheaper magnets on the rears, but the bar itself weighs and sounds the same👍. I'll be using the older ones with this system as the plugs are same. (I often max out the rears while as I use the system for music 95% on the time, HDMI from laptop to TV to Vizio.) SUB: This sub faces downward, which isn't preferable, living in upstairs apartment. I might build a shelf to raise it up off the floor or play with setting it on it's side to face the room. Even with a foam sub stand beneath, I want to be respectful of the neighbors. While the older sub didn't seem to ever turn itself on when the bar did, this new one does!! Which is nice I don't need to walk over and press the button to get sub & surround on. Note, this sub doesn't turn sound completely off when the "Subwoofer" setting is at it's lowest, and the night setting seems to be the only way to keep it quiet & even then, it's not totally off in night mode, but seems reasonably quiet enough with both sub & bass settings lowered in night mode (I love my surround speakers can you tell?). REMOTE: I do enjoy the newer style remote control & was bummed so many new systems no longer offer a remote. I refuse to use an app just to change a setting like sub/bass to fit a momentary need. This remote is basically the same as the high end big bar Elevate 5.1.2 that I have in the living room (which is amazing BTW). OPTIONS: The Vert X setting is louder yet, but it sounds great without it even, since I don't want the bar above my head to overpower the rears & enjoy a better balance of full-room sound with it off. Again, I love having so many options easy to change via the remote menus. OVERALL: Another GREAT system for a small to medium bedroom / office, esp. for the value! I think I'll keep the older one for the garage as it's still an amazing system and not worth the trouble of selling to recoup $100.

It’s very good for the price. It is NOT top of the line
Have this hooked up via HDMI for watching movies in a fairly small room (15’x25’). Instructions are basic but fine, and thr set does include brackets for hanging the surround speakers if you wish. I simply set mine on a shelf. Very pleased that the subwoofer is wireless, and I’ve never had any issue with it not connecting or losing signal in the weeks I’ve had it. What I really like is that it does a great job of emphasizing dialogue. My parents watched a movie with me and commented on how well they could understand The Fall Guy, and both of them are in their 80s with hearing aids, so that’s true praise. I like that the sound bar volume operates using the TV remote, too. Sound quality is very decent. You will not confuse this for a Sonos or other high dollar surround system, but the improvement over standard TV speakers is still enormous, and at 1/3 the price of just a Sonos sound bar, it’s a great deal. All that said, there are some factors I don’t particularly like. The remote is not blatantly obvious how to use, and it does not provide much information for the various settings when you adjust them. It’s entirely a guess whether “+” means you are increasing the setting or if there are only two settings and you’ve selected the higher one. For sure you can tell when you select different sound type settings - essentially preset graphic equalizers - but modifying things beyond that is poorly defined. The other issue with the remote is that it’s not lit, so guessing what button is what in a dark room is difficult. Not a deal breaker, just could be better. Finally, I’m not sure who all these reviewers are who claimed it has “booming” bass but it does NOT. Who can blame it? It’s working with a tiny 4.5” speaker! But for the size it does do a good job of producing SOME bass, which is more than almost any soundbar can claim. It will not shake your walls. It will not make you feel the dinosaur’s footsteps or jump when a bomb hits, but it’s a good deal better than no subwoofer, and again it’s really good for the price point. So do like it? Definitely. Would I buy it again? Definitely. Would I recommend it? Yes, IF you are looking for big improvement over the TV speakers but are not concerned about making the room resonate, or if your budget simply doesn’t allow for a high dollar system. However, if deep and strong bass is truly key for you, you’re going to have to shell out more money for a bigger sub.

Great find!
I love it! Over a year, and it still works great. Awesome sound quality and volume range. i wish it would turn off automatically when not connected to a source for a period of time, as we forget to turn it off sometimes.

Awesome Soundbar!
I bought this soundbar for my 40 something inch Vizio TV that I use in my living room. This TV in particular seems to have speakers only on the back of the TV which means even with the TV sound turned all the way up the sound quality was terrible and I could barely hear a thing! It sounded like my TV was in a box! It was absolutely neccessary for me to purchase a soundbar. I wanted a nice middle of the road soundbar that would give me a good listening experience but that wasn't some big investment and I did a bit of research on them before ultimately deciding just to give this one a try. It came quickly and was packed very well. It was actually quite a bit of work to get it out of its manufacturing package. I was able to mount it below my TV that is on a rolling TV stand and place the subwoofer in the back of the room on the floor in a stationary place. The soundbar is the perfect size for my 40 something inch tv and has a great sleek look. It seems to be made very well and is comparable to any other soundbar I've ever seen in person. The subwoofer is also not too big or too small and it's not very noticeable at all sitting on the floor in the back of my room. It's very reasonably sized and blends in well. The only thing I don't like about the subwoofer is that the power cord plugs into the front of the subwoofer which looks pretty dumb. The remote it comes with works well. The soundbar is easy to figure out and use and the sound quality so far has been great. It really changes my whole experience when watching my TV. It makes me feel like I'm in a movie theatre. Being that this soundbar was very reasonably priced, is of great quality and has great sound I am 100% happy with my choice to purchase this specific soundbar and I think anyone else would be as well.

Great bass and voice 👍
We bought this one a few years back. Liked it so much we bought one for our daughter’s family too. One of our back speakers stopped working recently so we purchased an LG $400 but got it at Best Buy sale for $200 and it was poor. Bad sound and the bass barely worked. Returned it and purchased this one again. The bass is great as well as the sound bar too. Clear voice! The LG sounds like it’s inside of a pillow.
