How wide is it in the closed position?** A: These sellers seem confused about what they are selling. From the tip of the blade to the of the handles, in the closed position, the shears are 6 1/8 inch long. The functional part of the shears blade is 1 3/4 inch long while the full blade is 1 7/8 inch long. At the widest part of the handle in the closed position, the handle is 1 5/8 inch. A hint: expect the lock to fail as it is plastic and after minimal use my locks have failed on two pair of these shears. They continue to be functional, though. **Q: has the locking mechanism been changed?** A: Yes. It is now on the side instead of being a "U" shaped mechanism folded over the blades. The old ones were engaged/disengaged with the thumb on the top of the blades. The new one is located on the side and is not distorted - leading to failure to lock - like the old ones were. **Q: Before I order the sissors I wanted to make sure they are electric, battery operated sissors. I do not see this information stated anywhere.** A: They are not electric or battery operated scissors. I have arthritis in my hands and these are easy to use, but operate just like regular scissors. ## Frequently Bought Together - Fiskars Titanium Easy Action Scissors (No. 8), 8 Inch, Orange/White - FISKARS SOLID HERB SNIP SP220 - Fiskars Softouch Micro-Tip Scissors --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/2153602-easy-action-8-titanium-scissors-stainless-steel-fabric-and-mixed](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/2153602-easy-action-8-titanium-scissors-stainless-steel-fabric-and-mixed) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
