Pork Cracklins W/Red Pepper Seasoning 3.25 oz (Pack 12)

Ok people. THESE THINGS ARE DELICIOUS BUT HARD AS ROCKS. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HARD. THEY ARE NOT STALE. I have enjoyed these things since I was kid LONG ago WITH GOOD TEETH. I'm an old school southerner, so I'm familiar with the "cracklin" and have chipped a tooth over these goodies in the past. BUT, they're too good to give up! I'm honestly addicted to these things. I went to every little store in my town of 5000 people hunting for the elusive "Golden Flake" Cracklin, but none stocked my beloved snack.... SO. I got the bright idea to try online..... SUCCESS! I found a supplier on Amazon and ordered FOUR CASES of them! YEP! 48 BAGS! Now it may seem like I'm destined to become a hillbilly looking snaggle puss with broken teeth, BUT.. Where there's a will, there's a way and you can keep your teeth. As a kid, I found out that if I dumped some Louisiana Hot Sauce over them bad boys and folded the bag shut for a spell, those rock hard cracklins become as chewy as rubber! Now It dont have to be hot sauce. It can be water, wine or whatever liquid that you find tasty. In a hurry when I'm hungry for my snack, I just pop a handful into my mouth and hold them in my cheek for a few minuets until they soften enough to chew. Me myself being a southerner, I prefer the hot sauce treatment. The "Golden Flake" cracklins are just as delicious softened, as they are hard. I wish I had the ones that the unsatisfied customers threw away! If yall dont want them send all unopened bags to me! HAHA! MMMMmmm! GOOD! Ordered 4 more cases! Try pouring them onto a cookie sheet and set the oven to 350. Baking them in this way for 10 to 15 minuets will make them a "soft crunchy" texture much like regular fried pork skins. The additional heating/cooking will make them brittle, but not burned, and MUCH easier to crunch up without breaking your teeth. Be aware the extra heating kills a lot of the unique seasoning. Not the pork flavor, but the pepper seasoning. Takes too long for delivery!

Fresh and tasty. Careful you’ll break your teeth. Awfully expensive for some fried out pork fat with the skin attached. But when you can’t get them in your area this is the way to go.

After several purchases of other brands that say cracklings, I finally found a true hard crackling in these Golden Flake Pork Cracklin Stripes mildly seasoned with red pepper. Pretty hard so if you have brittle teeth these may not be for you but exactly what I have searching for. Very tasty. I have already reorder another box.

These strips were super hard and super hairy. That’s right - the strips were covered with the hair still attached. Could not eat without thinking about pigs. Very disappointed

I have ordered these a few time. Had to have a fillin replaced, but the taste is good !!

Holy smokes these are good! Be aware, they are very hard, but I love them for that. Not cracklins that you want to chomp down on with reckless abandon. Throw a few in, get a feel for the crunchiness, let your mouth soften em up a smidge, and go to town on these bad boys! So good, I just wish I could find them more regularly in local stores!

I bought a bag at a convience store in arkansas and they were the best cracklins Ive had since i was a kid. Crunchy but not too bad... I loved them so much I came home and ordered a case!!! These were hard as rocks! flavor still there! Delicious! beware! they will break teeth if your not careful. I wont' order these again because of how hard they are...sure wish i could but i cant risk loosing teeth. Other than the hardness...these were fantastic!!! fresh, Flavorful...a little pricy but i don't care about that!!

These are a great snack.we found them on louisiana.But,these are practically do hard,they aren't chewable Better have strong teeth.
