Great for home use
Great product! Just what I was looking for to organize all of my home telecommunications equipment. If you are crazy about cable and equipment management this is the product for you. It was large enough to install all of the ISP equipment and my home network equipment as well.

6U Professional Wall Mount Network Server Cabinet Enclosure 19-Inch Server Network Rack Black
We it hung from the ceiling under our backyard porch. Our entertainment system locked in it with the controls to our out side TV's. I works great to keep animals out and our system is locked safe while attached to the ceiling. We don't worry about our system with this cabinet.

There are a few issues.
Now to be clear, we're not IT peeps, just wanted a cabinet to hold our music equipment.1. Took 2 of us 7 hours to put together because the instruction "pamphlet" is beyond awful. You'd think they could have printed a full sheet size set of instructions. Drawings were not very intuitive. I had to go to the Amazon order page and print out color pictures to see what it was suppose to look like.2. Even tho all the screws lined up, the rack mount is not 100% square. I had to put the door in upside down for it to stay on because of that.3. They were skimpy on the rack clips, only about 10-12. Another thing, you'd think they could give the # of each set of bolts, clips, etc because that way you'd know what each one were since they look alike. Having a # would have helped. Please realize I own several rack mount systems and they are all great, never have I had such a frustrating experience. I will never buy another unassembled rack system of any kind again! Wasted much of the weekend assembling. 2 stars only because this could have been great, but it's only fair.

Not very well put together. ZERO documentation. Only a few parts included.
While this is an enclosed metal box that will house your network equipment, is is quite flimsy. There are dents and warps in the metal work. There are no instructions included. Though it is supposed to be a 6U rack, it only includes nuts for 2 1/2 devices (10 cage nuts and 13 screws!) Then there are a few miscellaneous nuts whose use is a mystery. The door is reversible but it barely hangs on to the frame because the frame is bent. The hinge is comprised of a spring-compressed end, which is quite sturdy and a loose double ended axle that fits loosely into the holes provided so the door always slumps at an angle with a diagonal gap around the door itself. It closes and lock fine but the lock hardly seems worht the effort when anyone could give it a good thump and knock the door out of its position. (I really do not need a lock. I just wanted a latch but this had a lock.)The screws are star head screws and a small wrench is included to tighten them. Why a special wrench/driver? Who knows? What's wrong with a standard Philips head? Don't lose that wrench!I was kind of disappointed in this unit because of its shoddy workmanship and miscellaneous collection of hardware. It seems to have a hook on the back for hanging on a wall but it does not have an opposite hook to mount to the mall. The hook is only as thin as the enclosure metal and welded in two places. It is easily bendable and does not look like it will be secure when filled with equipment. I will most likely have to drill holes in the back and fasten with large screws and washers to be safe. Still, it is a rudimentary box for your equipment that will protect it from casual damage. I do not recommend if you are looking for something that looks great in a finished room. I also do not recommend it if you are looking for a sturdy, secure enclosure. It feels like I got this used from a garage sale. The one saving grace on this unit is the rack itself. The rack cage is solid and precise. It also will support more than 6U. Technically, it is an 8U but the top and bottom slots are above and below the front molding. If you have a device that does not require front access- like a power supply- you can mount it in the lower rack space. However, you can only get 2 screws into it because there is no way to get a screw driver through the front molding to drive-in the screws. I mounted my Delayed power conditioner on this slot. I was able to tighten the top two screws. The bottom two I left finger-tight.
