Easy to use and perfect for sourdough baking
These bannetons are so easy to use and make the bread proofing process simple and consistent. The loaves release cleanly, hold their shape beautifully, and show a nice spiral pattern after baking. They’re lightweight and sturdy. I use mine without the liner and clean when dry with a bristle brush to get any flour left over. Perfect for anyone getting into sourdough — reliable and beginner-friendly, yet professional quality.

Mostly good!
After a few months of use the fabric lining in one has ripped. Otherwise, they do the job.

Better Loafs
We make sourdough bread almost every day, our friends and family love fresh-baked bread. I was using the rope-style proofing baskets, but it wasn't easy keeping the nice round shape. The rattan proofing baskets are much easier to work with, and the bread's shape is consistent. The pricing was fair, and the shipping was fast.

Great size and quality! The liners are very easy to clean. I want to buy more but they're currently unavailable. I hope they're not being discontinued!

I spent some weeks using this kit before writing this review. The great pandemic/lockdown trend of everyone learning to bake their own bread passed me by for some reason, and I wanted to catch up! Overall I think this is a useful kit for a beginner like me. I followed the instructions carefully, seasoning the basket before use etc. The dough weight guide was useful. The scoring tool is also a nice addition, to add some ornamental elements. My first loaves turned out pretty encouragingly and even if my loaves still don't look exactly food photography-worthy, I've got a lot more efficient at making them. (The main bottleneck in my baking now is actually turning out to be my oven, which is not accurate enough in terms of temperature and even distribution of heat.) The one unimpressive item of this kit is the straight-edge scraper for getting dough out of bowls. Something with a rounded profile or slightly flexible would work much better and indeed I've ended up substituting one of my own semi-rigid spatulas for this purpose. Anyway, I feel like I've made a lot of progress using this kit, and can overall recommend it to anyone else starting out.
