When it comes to camping, a reliable tent footprint is essential for keeping your tent dry and extending its lifespan. The REDCAMP Ultralight Tent Footprint with PU 2000 waterproofing has proven to be an exceptional addition to my camping gear. Here’s my detailed review of this product. Performance and Durability During a recent camping trip, we experienced heavy rain, and the REDCAMP footprint was a lifesaver. It prevented any water from seeping through the bottom of the tent, effectively acting as a moisture barrier. This high level of waterproofing (PU 2000) ensured that our tent interior stayed completely dry throughout the night. ### Portability and Ease of Use One of the standout features of the REDCAMP footprint is its portability. It’s incredibly lightweight, which makes it easy to carry along on hikes without adding significant weight to your backpack. Packing it back into the provided pouch is a breeze, thanks to its compact and flexible design. This convenience is perfect for campers who prioritize both space and weight. ### Recommendation I highly recommend the REDCAMP Ultralight Tent Footprint to anyone in need of a reliable, waterproof tent tarp. Its performance in wet conditions, coupled with its lightweight and easy-to-pack nature, makes it an essential piece of camping equipment. Whether you’re facing heavy rain or just looking to protect your tent from ground moisture, this footprint is a valuable investment for any outdoor adventure. ### Pros - **Highly Waterproof:** PU 2000 rating ensures excellent water resistance. - **Lightweight and Portable:** Easy to carry and pack into the provided pouch. - **Effective Moisture Barrier:** Keeps tent interior dry even in heavy rain. ### Cons - **None Notable:** Performs exceptionally well in all tested conditions. ### Conclusion The REDCAMP Ultralight Tent Footprint, PU 2000 Waterproof Camping Tent Tarp, stands out as a top-notch camping accessory. Its ability to keep water out and its ease of use make it a must-have for any camping enthusiast. Don’t let your next camping trip be ruined by unexpected rain—invest in this footprint and enjoy dry, comfortable nights in your tent.

Used this as a tent base while traveling, and it performed amazingly, especially when it started pouring. Despite the rain, this tarp kept the bottom of my tent completely dry, no leaks, no dampness, just solid waterproofing thanks to the PU2000 rated fabric. It’s also super lightweight and compact, which made packing and setup easy. The only downside? I had to leave it behind because it was muddy and I had no way to clean it while on the move. But it worked so well, I didn’t hesitate to buy another. Great quality, great price, and a must-have for any camping or backpacking trip.

I have a small 2-person tent, and as someone who has led camping and backpacking trips for years, I know the risk of not using a tarp or footprint with a tent. I headed off on a trip that was supposed to be sunny and warm and ended up rainy. I was really glad I had this footprint with me. This was the perfect size for my Bear Grylls easy-up 2-person tent (see photo—I didn’t think to snap one of just the footprint as it was getting dark when I was setting up). When sizing a tarp or footprint, you want it to be slightly smaller than the tent’s floor, to avoid it channeling water between it and the tent, and this was right on point. I thought I would have to tuck it slightly but didn’t. Super happy to say no water got into my tent via the floor. This is a good quality item; it’s evident which side is down (shiny side), the stitching is solid, the corners are suitable for staking and the whole thing folds up super small and goes right back into its pouch. After multiple days of rain, I cleaned it off, wiped it with a cloth, let it dry in the sun and it looks great. I expect to get several seasons from this and it’s worth the money to keep my tent dry and the bottom of the tent from getting degraded by rough ground. Overall, I didn’t see a difference between this and an expensive name brand.

The 55x87 size is perfect for the oval 2-person Pop Up Tents. You just need to flip the corners of the mat under the tent (so water doesn't pool) and then you're good to stake the tent down. We were on a camping trip recently with 2 hours of sustained rain with constant downpours. This ground cover did its job as a barrier layer and and kept the bottom of the tent dry.
