Our other digital thermometer was old as a dinosaur . I bought one from a big box store and stopped working in two years. I needed one quickly and this one works perfectly fine for my needs. It fits well in the case . I sanitize it with alcohol and store it away . Very easy to use ..

Seems to be accurate and has worked for months now. Could be a little bit better quality. But for the money, not bad.

OK, I admit, I had this in the drawer for a bit over two years. When my old thermometer began to show signs of advanced age, I got this one out, and the first time I used it, I was impressed - it was so much faster! But then, after two or three uses, I could barely read the readout - the top part was clear but the bottom of the numbers was fading out. After about four uses (I have a cold and am watching my temp), I couldn't see a reading at all. So I thought, well, maybe it's because it's been in the drawer for two years, so I replaced the battery, and that didn't help. Also, it's not the ENTIRE readout - I get a display when I turn it on, but don't get a readout when it beeps that it's finished. So it is going in the trash. I have another one of the same model and will test it - if it works great, I'll come back and revise this review.

This thermometer is very accurate. The display is good and it has not needed a battery.
