Review: So much functionality and excellent value - I had been wanting one of these sets for a while because, if nothing else, they look really cool. But I thought it sensible to wait until I had genuine need of it (otherwise known as “an excuse to buy it”). Thankfully (!) a family member’s laptop developed a fault with the screen so I was able to get this set and use a star-shaped head and one of the plastic picks to open up the casing and reset the connector between the screen and PC. I’ve since used this set to dismantle a dead Blu-Ray player to retrieve a disc and several games controllers to clean the insides to fix stick drift. There are so many components included that it’s been an education trying to work out what they all do. Simply put, I don’t need half of what is included here but I think that I am now well-placed to deal with emergencies in the world of consumer electronics. And I now know what a spudger is! Aside from the main event which is obviously the screwdriver handle and the bits, the set also includes a magnetic mat for keeping removed screws in order (this was invaluable for the Blu-Ray job… so many screws!). Also included are a flexible screwdriver shaft, suction cups, SIM card removing tools and various picks and removal tools. And then a magnetize/demagnetize tool which is really useful. All of these components seem good quality for the price and are held in a robust plastic case which opens on both sides to give easy access to all of the parts. The bits are held nice and tightly in the box and clearly marked with size and type both on the box and on the bit itself. The bits fit snugly into the handle which is well made and has a rubber section to aid grip. I really can’t fault this set. It is nicely presented, functional and good quality at an excellent price. I’m very pleased with my purchase.
Review: Absolutely Excellent Screwdriver Set! - Before buying this set, on more than one occasion I would find myself not have the right screwdriver size for a particular everyday DIY job such as changing the fuse on a plug, tightening the frame of my spectacles, replacing batteries in kids toys etc etc This screwdriver set has been a saviour, it has a variety of different screwdriver sizes for flat, crosshead, star. It also includes bits for allen key sizes (again a variety of sizes). All the bits can also be magnetised using the magnetiser which is awesome! And yes, it has the necessary bits to repair an iphone such as the suction cup, plastic bit to remove the case seal, tweezers as well as the relevant size to unscrew the screws. The magnetic mat is also very handy in keeping your loose screws safe from being misplaced (and the hassle of trying to trying to find a tiny screw that's fallen onto the floor!) I have 2 of these sets, and I have also recommended these to friends and family becuase you just can't go wrong with this! Very, very pleased with this set!

**Q: Does it have the security bit to open gameboy cartridges**
A: Yes

**Q: Is the torx tamperproof from T2 upwards?**
A: The security torx bits (the ones with the hole in the centre) go down to a T6 minimum in size. Non-security torx bits go down to T1

**Q: Can i use this to open a hp pavillion and fit a replacement battery? or maybe install extra ram?**
A: The tool box has most of the required bits for majority of the electronics. I would suggest having a look at the type of fixings you require and then checking that against the image. If you send the details of the bits you need I can check my box and confirm if its included.

**Q: Is there an attachment to remove watch straps? Thanks**
A: It depends on the type of watch strap, if it is a sprung pin I use a small instrument screwdriver and there is a set of suitable tips in this set.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good, particularly for lightning deal price

Ok, so first off, I got this set on a lightning deal, and that meant it was £10 cheaper than the same set offered by another seller here on Amazon. So that's a good start. The kit itself is perfectly acceptable. That said, the plastic openers are not the sturdiest you'll ever use, with some fraying around the edges of the plectrum openers, and one of the plastic spudgers, after one use. That said, it's nothing that makes them unusable, and at this price you wouldn't expect much more. Bits are OK, but again, I wouldn't want to use them for anything strenuous - but then, if you're using this for laptops and computers it's not like you should be coming up against anything which requires too much force. The flexible add-on shaft is definitely helpful, although it would be also useful to have a thinner extension for those screws which are sunk into recesses. The magnetic screw mat is pretty useful too, particulary as it's laid out in a grid, which makes putting your screws in the right layout for return easy. Be aware though that it's not super magnetic and knocking any screws on it will knock them out of place, or even off the map, so best to have it out of the way. The screwdriver itself if perfectly functional and gives decent grip when in use. All in all, this is a perfectly functional set if you're doing the odd repair / teardown / replacement job. Maybe not a purchase if you're doing repairs of this type for a business, where you'd be using them constantly every day, but completely acceptable for the hobbyist. Quite happy to have these in the tool box along with my other PC parts tools. Actually, the only thing that I think could have been included, although it would have raised the price a little, is an anti-static wrist strap. You likely would never need one, given tolerances and build quality of modern pc / phone / etc parts. but it's always better safe than sorry
