An Elevated Summation
I wanted to get a book that would help me with my motivation and discipline. Seems like I start and stop things very often. I needed a little pick-me-up read to inspire me. I found Daniel Walter's THE POWER OF DISCIPLINE on Amazon. This is a fast read at only 125 pages. It was well written. I found only a couple of editing errors. The book contained advice that readers can get from other books on discipline like ATOMIC HABITS or anything by Brene Brown. This read almost comes across like a good summation of a compilation from other books on discipline. Because this book is essentially a summary, it contains no depth. I would have been better off reading ATOMIC HABITS. If you want something quick, you may enjoy this read. #CillasBookManiacs

The Power of Discipline
My daughter and I started a small book club with a few of my friends with kids who are of similar age and have interests. Originally, we selected this book because we thought it would be a great starting point for them. Little did I know, at my age, that this book would impact my life with such positivity and enlightenment! I throughly enjoyed this book! We all did!!! This is a must read, for all age groups! Thank you so much Daniel Walters for sharing your knowledge with us!

A must read!!
If you are looking to get back on track or feel that you have lost your way, this book is an excellent place to begin. I have read many non-fiction, leadership, and self-improvement books, and I can confidently say this one stands at the top of that list. It is also an ideal choice for beginners, as it is concise, accessible, and filled with valuable insights. The material is practical, impactful, and can be applied immediately. Its short length leaves no excuses to delay starting. Self-discipline is the foundation of meaningful change. Whether your goals are financial, mental, or physical improvement, this book provides a strong starting point for building a better life.

Very Informative and Helpful
This book gave me so much information and insight into what it means to be self-disciplined. I feel like so much of it was obvious and have been things I’ve told myself before, but it just hits different coming from someone else. I’m very excited to put these principles into practice and start living a more disciplined life so I can accomplish my goals.

There's a lot of fluff sprinkled with pseudoscience but there's some good advice in between
First off the negative: after listening I had to double check the date because some of these motivational talking points I haven't heard in ages, like the 80/20 baloney (80% of value only comes from 20% of people). The first few chapters are filled with fluff, talking about MRI scanning brain activity and there's spots in the brain activated when their discipline is occurring or whatever (as you can tell i barely could pay attention). Then they go on about you should not be easily offended and don't complain which is ok advice for this book, but in my opinion all the conveniences we have today came from people communicating and identifying problems they're having (complainers) but I get the topic of the book I bought and I'll let it slide. The biggest problem i have with this book (other than the cringey motivational tone 'if you listen to this advice your life will change forever and you'll achieve all your goals yipiee!") is how much they look up to authority like Bill Gates or Oprah and they keep naming different athletes and celebrities as the book goes on. Like not everybody respects them or want to be like them. I just want to learn about discipline for my own reason. If I got the physical book I would black out all the unnecessary information. My Last problem but just a minor one, talking about hard work and all that while talking about renting your home and being afraid of renting out to bad tenants as an example in the next sentence is not only a contradiction, it's just scummy behavior in my opinion, for a book that talks about being your best self and all that. All of that being said, there's still good advice in this book. It's just this author and I don't see eye to eye on many things which kind of lowers the value for me. There's nothing mind blowing but I think if you follow the advice and ignore all the motivational mumbo jumbo your life will improve. I just finished the book and I'm gonna try all of these exercises out. This book is big on meditation, i'm skeptical about it but i'm open minded and I'll give it a shot. If I succeed in following in this book I'll edit this review in several months about the results.

Once of the best books to read. It gives a totally unique perspective of discipline. Before reading this book, I thought I was already disciplined well enough. But I still wanted to read because I always want yo learn more and what to know how I can make my routine better. This book works like magic as you progress reading. While I was half way through reading, this book helped me understand and made me do the changes that I never thought about. Very useful book. I am going to read it once every year. If you love yourself, then get the book and read it completely.

A really good book. A good transformation guide in itself if understood properly. The importance of Habits in our daily life, the understanding of our self potential and the depth of strategic decisions and planning for our goal setting. I would recommend this to all the leaders under progress. Thank You Daniel and Team.

The Power of Discipline is a truly impactful and practical book. It clearly explains how self-control and mental toughness are essential for achieving long-term goals. The author presents the ideas in a simple, straightforward way, making them easy to understand and apply in everyday life. What I appreciated most is that the book doesn’t just focus on motivation, but on building consistent habits and developing the mindset needed for lasting success. The strategies are realistic and actionable, which helped me improve my focus, productivity, and overall discipline. This book has genuinely had a positive influence on my life, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to strengthen their self-discipline and take control of their goals.

Top!
