Some of them were broken. Good for decoupage. Very clean. Easy to paint.

I ordered these large scallop shells for a decoupage project, and they were exactly what I needed. The size was generous, and the natural texture made a great surface for applying napkins and paper designs. Most of the shells arrived in excellent condition—clean, smooth, and unbroken. A couple had minor imperfections, but nothing that couldn’t be worked around or added character to the finished piece. They took paint and Mod Podge really well without curling or flaking. Perfect for crafting, coastal decor, or gift-making. I’ll definitely order more for future projects!

I’ve placed 2 orders and both times 2 in the box were broken. Otherwise the shells were clean and pretty. If you could send 4 to replace the broken ones, that would be great. Can you acknowledge my original message? Second request.

Just what I wanted! None were broken, and although a couple needed some spot-cleaning, I believe I can use them all for my craft projects. Thinner than larger scallop shells but lightweight for magnets and daintier ornaments.

The shells are fine, big and in good condition but they haven't been cleaned at all. They will need to be boiled and sanitized thoroughly before they can be used for any cooking. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of buying them online, you're better off just buying whole scallop shells at a fish market and cleaning them yourself. These are incredibly overpriced considering how much work it's going to take to make them usable.
