Simple, Reliable Condensate Trap That Works as Designed
a great product—easy to install, solid build, and most importantly, no leaks. It fits perfectly on a 3/4-inch condensate line and does exactly what it’s supposed to. The clear design also makes it easy to check for clogs or buildup. Definitely worth the money for a reliable and maintenance-friendly trap.

Adjust easily and handy cleanouts
I saw this when I was looking for traps to replace the clogged trap that was installed correctly but had no access for any type of clean out or maintenance. Consequently I'd been using a 5 gallon bucket to catch the condensation until I got everything I needed to replace it. Not something I would recommend but it worked in a pinch and it gave me a new appreciation for how much moisture the air handler or the condenser or whatever takes out of the air every 24 hours. It's been very humid here the last few days and I'd been emptying the bucket once a day with about three or four gallons of water in it. Anyway, this Rectorseal trap was just what I needed as I had to retrofit it in between the two lines. It's adjustable of course until you permanently glue it in place so it was very easy to fit to both sides that were stationary. Of course I have some plumbing experience but even if you don't if you take your time it's easy to fit and the added plus is you have the many different cleanouts. If you look in the photo you can see that I've added two rubbers slip joints that can also be removed so the entire assembly can come out for future cleaning. I've decided that the best bet is to do maintenance on it once a year and make sure the lines are clear so that condensation can flow out. If you forget about it it will build up and eventually start to form clogs which will make the condensation back up and you'll have quite a mess. This seems to be working quite well so far after a day or two with no leaks and a good water flow out of the house. I definitely recommend this particular trap if you want a way to clean out and maintain your condensation line.

Best HVAC P-Trap Ever!
This is the best condensate P-Trap I've used. There are sealed covers for convenient clean-out, and the trap is clear for easy inspection. It appears to be very well made. The clear tube and other pieces accepted PVC glue well with no leaks.

Worked really good on my York 90% furnace drain
Worked really well, I did have to put it on an angle to work.

Perfect
I've had the AC technicians to my house so many times to figure out why the AC water drain was backing up. They'd tell me the plumbing didn't have enough of a gradient to it and that was they problem. So I had the plumbing redone. It still didn't stop the AC water overflows, which result in the AC shutting off. After opening the pipes myself I realized there was a very strong suction back towards the AC unit. This was strong enough to suck the water back into the unit that should have been draining. (To be fair, that might have not happened with a steeper slope on the drain pipes.) They might have been partial right, but after some research I found out about this device. The U shape filled with water is enough to stop the suction from pulling water back into the AC unit. The full water in the U curve stops the air inflow. Then as water trickles in gravity takes over and it drips out the drain pipe. Ingenious device. Easy to install. I can't believe professional AC technicians from 2 different companies didn't know to put one of these in. They sell a version of these at hardware stores, but this one is much better. Easier to work with. The fact that it is clear and has valves you can open means you can see if it is clogging up and easily open it for cleaning. Get this one. I don't think I'll have to touch the AC unit again.

Much better than PVC trap
Much better than a simple PVC trap. Easy to fill and see trap is filled. Can also see flow if questioning the drain line.

Every central AC should have this. Visual and easy to clean. Many installation don't even have the flimsy p-trap and that a mistake. Search Youtube to see why a p-trap is required beyond odours control. If you are in a condo you should even get the model with a high water switch that stops the AC when there is a clogging. I was administrator for a condo and funny enough AC spilling was the most common source of water damage despite having mandatory annual inspection of AC systems. Many technicians won't bother to clean the drain pipe/tube.

This is a great design. The installers for my furnace used a solid PVC trap that was all glued together and was impossible to clean. It clogged up with dust and gunk and I had to cut it off and replace it after my condensate pan overflowed. This is a very good solution to replace that, as it allow you to easily inspect the drain and clean it out with a brush (not included). I've included a photo of my install. It glues together easily with PVC cement and standard 3/4" PVC fittings. I used purple PVC primer as well, but it was not really necessary since this isn't a pressurized application. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product.

I realized recently, that my hvac drain tube had no p-trap inline, and so i got this kit. Went on well, I glued the ends of the "U" pipe. Works well and makes it easy to clean line.

Needs some adjustment if AC system is negative pressure: additional pipe added to the left side to create a deeper trap . Otherwise, like the clear bottom and the caps... works fine, easy to clean. Glad I bought it as my plumber did not have one and I was able to provide this one to get the result I wanted.
