Ruffwear, Approach Dog Backpack, Lightweight Pack for Hiking and Camping, Orange Poppy, X-Small

I am so excited about this bright orange RuffWear back pack. I love the way it is constructed.I have a tall thin Miniature Pinture he has a big chest and a tiny neck and waste. He is about 15 pounds and 17 inches tall. He is supper fast .This back pack fits him perfectly it is on the smallest adjustment for his neck and waste and made a little bigger around his barrel chest.My dog loves to run I take him for long walks and when no one is at our park I let him off leash so he can run free . But I can’t always do that and walks do not tire him out enough. But this is a game changer.I can put a lot of stuff in the deep pockets on this bag to give him extra weight to carry to tire him out so he is not so destructive.I started off with just a free items in the small pockets like his poop bags and treats on one side and some small toys in the other side. Then I added in each side of the big pockets one small bottle of water. When we came home after his 2 mile walk he was ready to get in his bed and sleep. I love the fit, the color, how easy it is to put on a take off. I also love the nice zippers to keep his stuff secure. I thought it was expensive when I first looked at it but I was able to snag a deal on the last one in orange so I jumped on it . It would have been I good deal even at full price because this is not a toy . It holds a lot of stuff and is made extremely well and will out last my dog I believe. Thanks for an awesome product.

I can't tell you how long I researched this purchase. Not so much because my husband is cheap but I wanted to get the best dog backpack once. And thanks to everyone's awesome reviews, we chose this one, and it's perfect in every way! Our one and a half year old golden retriever is 73 lbs and this fits him beautifully, with some room to grow. No problems at all for peeing or anything. And it's funny, we notice when he has it on he has way less of a tendency to jump on people when they want to pet him lol, which we're really loving since he's still all crazy puppy! The pouch sizes are perfect for our needs. It's not for hiking but just for out and about day trips. Two water bottles can easily fit on each side, and as long as you keep the load fairly balanced it really doesn't slide much. It did take some getting used to more for the way he has to step into it (a little awkward so works better if it's not packed up) but it is extremely well made (totally worth every penny of the price), very functional and well thought out and we're thrilled we'll get so many years of use out of it! The media could not be loaded. We have a hard time with sizing gear for our pomchi. He’s built like a tiny GSD, so smaller gear is usually too tight on his shoulders and neck, or huge on his tummy. Or, like with other packs, the harness system fits but the saddle bags are so big they touch the ground. I’m SO happy I found this pack, because the xs fits him like a glove. For reference, his measurements are: girth 22”, base of neck to base of tail 16”, neck 13”, 21 lbs. He’s on the big side for the xs measurements, and we did indeed have to extend the chest straps all the way, but he’s done growing so it’s a perfect fit.Sizing aside, I am really impressed with this pack. Our pup is small but he loves hiking and we usually have him carry his poop bags, water, bowl, hand wipes, first aid, and a snack. He outgrew his old Petsfit pack, which I actually think is a decent puppy back pack, but it was started to chafe his pits.I was looking to upgrade instead of replace, now that he’s full grown. I knew I wanted something that could hold a good amount but had a relatively small profile so he wasn’t smacking it on trees or getting stuck. This pack collapses fairly flat against his body when empty, but is big enough to hold two 16.9 fl oz water bottles in each pocket. They’re about the size of fanny packs.I also wanted a Y chest strap to keep it from shifting, cushioned straps, and for the straps to avoid being too close to his armpits. Check, check, and check.I’m so impressed with the quality and design of this pack too. It has elastic bands on the end of the two body straps, so it flexes with body movement. I was worried the belly strap would be too close to his peep, but it too can be adjusted and moved closer to the chest strap. The material on top is nice ripstop nylon, the zippers feel extremely sturdy, and it has a heavy duty ring for a leash. There’s also a safety handle on top.I highly recommend this backpack, if you can find the right size for your pup.

The bag is made from quality materials and is thoughtfully designed. I love that there are clips on the sides to prevent the bags from “flopping” around. It’s very roomy and with 4 pockets, it will fit everything your dog needs. It was a bit of a learning curve with my dog but she doesn’t seem to mind it anymore.

Por ahora lo he probado sin peso, para que mi perra se vaya acostumbrando, pero lo veo cómodo y se adapta muy bien al cuerpo. No se mueve ni se desliza hacia un lado. El material se ve de calidad y las alforjas según etiqueta tienen 13 litros de capacidad (supongo entre las dos), son grandes y perfectas para rutas de muchos días.Como punto negativo, solo tiene 2 enganches, y no tiene ninguno en la parte delantera, por lo que hay que pasar la pata por delante para ponerlo y quitarlo. Sin peso es incomodo pero se puede, con peso supongo que será más tedioso... Si pudieran ponerle un enganche más, delante, sería perfecto.

Eigentlich hatte ich erwartet, dass der Hunderucksack für Wanderungen geeignet ist.Zum einen sind beide Farben (stechendes blau oder orange) nicht schön und mit fehlenden Kontrasten. Der orangene Hunderucksack hat die beiden strategisch am unwichtigsten Reißverschlüsse farblich abgesetzt, womit man immer erst den falschen aufmacht... Der Hund streift nur einmal leicht eine Felswand und schon sind Löcher drin.Das Teil ist im Grunde nicht schlecht durchdacht, aber nicht gut umgesetzt (Farben, Material...)

Soooo expensive for basically a little doggy backpack, but it’s made very well and can tell it will last a lifetime

Macht was er soll. Mein Hund findet ihn nicht unbequem und da er ein "wilder" ist und der Rucksack ziemlich belastet wird ( Wald und Alpen ) kann ich ihn getrost als haltbar und robust bezeichnen. Ich kann ihn weiter empfehlen.
