Just the right length, with the bonus of having a soft, spongey handle which, for my husband, who suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis in his hands, was such a relief for him. No more rope burns or sore hands from gripping hard rope, or even ordinary dog leads. Cannot comment on durability yet. We would recommend regardless of this though.
