Great product!
Fixed my Mom's bird mites problem fast. Her 2 cockatiels were suffering badly, crying and squawking constantly, until this product was used over several days. Applied to birds and their cages. At first, the birds didn't like being sprayed. Now they seem to have figured-out it's helping that problem and don't complain. She's continuing to treat about twice a week to make sure she got all the mites, as the birds are out of their cages and roam the bird-room during the day. Got her 3 bottles, but 1 did the trick. Great product. Would definitely purchase again for Mom. Happy Birds = Happy Mom ;)

My rats had Mites. HAD!
I took in a pregnant foster about 7 weeks ago and she gave birth the next day. The vet looked her over and said she was in good health. A few weeks later I started seeing signs of Mites. Of course this is AFTER I introduced her and her babies to the rest of my girls. I got this product because I read a review that said it worked and I was trying to save myself from a costly vet bill. It arrived and I put everything I could in my washing machine and dishwasher. I froze their food and bedding for 24 hours and cleaned every inch of their cage with 1 part bleach 5 parts water. I let it dry then wiped it all down with warm soap water after to clean off any chemicals. I was worried about over dosing so I sprayed just enough on a folded paper towel to get it wet. Then I wiped every rat all over, especially the ears tail and feet. Within a few days all the bites and scratching cleared up. I have 12 girls so you really only need a tiny bit. They dont need to be soaking wet. If you can afford a vet that is always best but if you can't this will work!!

GREAT for roaches around my parakeet cage
I really like this spray in that I can use it around my 2 parakeets. They are condo/city birds that don't get any mites or lice but I use it around their cage to keep small roaches under control. The active ingredient (pyrethrins) is a more natural and less toxic insecticide. You do have to spray the roaches directly but it is very effective in killing them and I'd rather do that than leave any lingering residue from stronger pesticides around my birdies. I did have occasion to use it once on a wild baby bird I rescued that was FULL of these tiny yet visible black hair-like mites (if that's what they were). I wrapped the little bird's body in a soft towel that I had coated w/ the spray and also sprayed it around the outside of its box to catch any more that might try to crawl away. It worked beautifully & very effectively with no ill effects on the baby bird, or me or my parakeets for that matter. My ONLY complaint is that I WISH the company would put a BETTER SPRAY-TOP on these bottles. It's hard to get these to spray evenly or very accurately sometimes. And it tends to drip around on your hand when you spray it once you've been using that bottle for a while. Need to be sure to wash your hands after but it's still better than more caustic chemicals on your skin.

IS IT SAFE FOR BIRDS? I THINK SO
I read in researching where it said not to use this on your birds. Another place I read birds are very resistant to this ingredient and it won't hurt them. I did use it however with no bad affects on my Mexican Double Yellow Head Parrot. Have not used it on cockatiel yet though, but plan to. Our entire family has been hit with parasites after moving to the mountains with my Mom. It seems we got them from the friendly forest creatures we feed such as squirrels and birds. Such is life. Anyway, I discovered that the main ingredient in the cream as Dr.'s gives human for scabies, etc. is teh main ingredient in this product. I am wondering if this can be used on humans for a very short period of time. Hum... The amount in the bird spray is minimal. You have to be sure to spray the bird from the back so you won't get it's eyes or nose, very carefully. Don't overdo it. Mites can be so terrible for a bird to endure. i would rather spray them than let them suffer. I had noticed my birds scratching more, not preening. I'll keep using it on them and their cages until it stops. Please, remove food and water before spraying the cage. Sometimes things we don't think of can cause a disaster.

Guinea pig mites
I got this for my guinea pig who was starting to get what I suspected was mange mites around her ears. I was treating with ringworm cream at first and it wasn’t helping so I figured it must be mites. Less than a week after using this spray, her ears are 90% cleared up! I would definitely recommend!

Doesn’t seem to be working
I’ve sprayed my birds and their nesting boxes multiple times but I’ve never seen them die or leave. They kept growing. In the end, I had to clean and discard the boxes or wherever I saw mites. However, when I sprayed directly on my birds, they seem not appear again so not sure if it’s the product or just time.

It Worked!
Consistent use of this product has cleared up a case of scaly face mites on my budgie. She looks beautiful (and comfortable) again! I just spray them both once a week when I clean their abode. They enjoy their weekly "showers".
