Taxidermied: The Art of Roman Dirge

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Roman Dirge's comic Lenore( have quite a few tattoos in tribute) so when I found out recently that an art book was out, I ordered it asap. The book is great. I would have liked to see Lenore somewhere but apparently there will be a Lenore art book out sometime in the future(please please please!)This book shows Dirge's artistic style. Very cool! Must have for Dirge fans.

You don't have to know Roman Dirge's style to appreciate this book of his art, but it helps. This book was printed on high quality paper and the hardcover is great. I have been reading Roman Dirge's comics since I was a teenager, so I felt I needed this book to complete my collection. It's pretty "dark" in style- but the details are wonderful. I'm glad I got it.

This is a strange book, but I like it.

A fan of Lenore comics, I bought this book to see more of Dirge's art. The book did not disappoint. Cute and macabre, there's something for everyone.

As a lover of Roman Dirge and his artwork, this book was an amazing find! Be prepared to see the very macabre, gruesome, and gory images, typical of Roman dirge. His artwork is beautiful, yet disturbing. This book is not meant for children, but I don't think any of his works really are. This is a nice little piece to have in your collection of macabre art, Roman Dirge, or just in your books in general. It's nice to have gotten such a lovely (not to mention hardcover edition) book for this price.

i was hoping for a little more about the artist and his ideas behind illustrations, the pictures are large and colourful. suit anyone who is a fan of this type of illustration.
