Fluval Motor Seal Ring Gasket for Canister Filters, Aquarium Filter Replacement Part, A20063

I thought the fluval canister filter was a goner, these filters are not cheap, it kept leaking from the top. I did some researching and it said to try this, and or lubricant. I wasn't sure it would work, but gave it a shot. So happy I got this, works great, no more leaks. Saved hundreds of dollars that would have been spent on a new filter. So if your aquarium filter is leaking, you prob need to change this out. Highly recommend, and it was delivered the next day.

FITS good and it was driving me crazy as to why the filter leaked when the power went off, turns out there's a small O-ring on the primer shaft and the primer shaft wears out also, I just took it apart and plugged the primer, takes a little but you can make it work without a primer

Not much to say. It's a seal. My original has lasted over 5 years. I'm just now replacing it because I'm seeing small cracks in it and it may last a while longer but I'm not taking the chance of it leaking. Once I can I'm gonna buy a backup for my 305 and 405. Now this may sound silly but when I was a plumbers helper he taught me a trick for when it comes to doing anything with o rings. He kept a tu e of KY Kelly in his o ring box and would lube them up before repairing faucet valves or any rubber parts. And the KY is safe and not harmful if it got in tge water line or now for us in our fish tank. I'm not sure what all types are available you you just need the original KY.

Bought to replace the damaged gasket on my Fluval 405. It works great, and I've learned that the easiest way to avoid damaging or pinching the gasket is to put a light coating of food-safe grease on it first. It really helps with the installation of the top cover, and I've yet to have a spot where it didn't "seal", much less damaged the rubber itself. Has worked great as a replacement o-ring.

I figured this would be compatible with the 406 but when I used this, my filter leaked as I moved it around. I've never had this issue with the gaskets included in the 3/406 maintenance kits. I was lucky because I had a spare and swapped it with and no leak. I inspected this one and no tears, no issues but maybe slightly different size?

I had bought a used filter off of Facebook and had no problems for about a year when it started to leak. I thought “might as well try, if it doesn’t work then I’m only out a couple bucks.” Saved myself a crap ton of money. Switched out the ring and have had no problems since! Would highly recommend if your filter is still working, just leaking!

I ordered this for some fluval filters for my turtle tank that I received years ago and just finally tried using. The first night, the filter started overflowing all over the floor twice before I gave up and turned it off. I ordered this seal gasket in hopes that would save the issue as the old one seemed dried out, and this definitely did the trick! It came lubricated already so it wasn't dried out one big, I just rinsed it off really well and put it in and 2 months later the filter is still running 24/7 and no overflowing.

Thank god this had next day delivery with Prime. My fish tank filter was leaking as the original o-ring had finally broken down after years of use. I had to leave the tank not filtering for a day, but it was better than losing 75 gallons of water all over the house~! The o-ring fit my Fluval 405 as expected - stopped all the leaks and got rid of a lot of anxiety for this fish mamma.
