Impressed by Quality and Cost
I finally broke down and bought this mainly on the review/advice of of a well-known reviewer online. I appreciated how he tested the knife instead of just describing it as a lot of guys do. It was delivered today and I am impressed by the quality as compared to the cost. I'm sure that knife enthusiasts will probably not prefer the nylon sheath, but it seems adequate for my uses. The snap that holds the knife in is a bit tight, but that's not a real problem. It will probably loosen up with use. It was incredibly sharp right out of the box, and has a nice rubberized handle with a solid metal bolster. I am a hunter, so this knife seems like a good one to carry given its smaller size. I could see using it to field dress a deer as well as other bush craft uses/needs. The blade steel is printed right on the blade - 440C, which I appreciate. 440C is a high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel known for great wear resistance with a hardness up to 60 HRC, and moderate corrosion resistance, making it a classic choice for knife blades. It offers good edge retention and is relatively easy to sharpen.

Very well constructed knife!
I just got my knife. This is a very well constructed, heavy duty knife! It is razor sharp right out of the box and the over all finish is excellent. The size is a perfect compromise between a pocket knife and an overly large hunting knife. I have medium sized hands and the rubber handle fits me perfectly and provides for a very secure grip. As for durability, only time will tell. I am quite confident though as the blade is a full tang design made of 440c steel. The sheath seems to be very well constructed, fitting the knife perfectly. It is made of heavy duty nylon with a secure snap for retention and will fit up to 3 in. wide belts. The low price is almost unbelievable! I intend to order another one for my son.

Can't beat the price!
This knife seems like a solid knife, well-made knife for the price. Came sharp, I always do a little more though. It's a handy size for camping and hiking. The sheath is just ok, but for the price I'm ok with that. It's a nice looking knife, I only wish the handle had a little more tack to it, but it's a comfortable grip

Seemingly Great Knife, Time Will Tell...
First impressions were VERY good, and it feels good, but as someone else has already said, the contouring of the handle is not 100% perfect, (squarish) but it is still very comfortable. You would think that a rubber handle would be (slightly) more rounded, maybe the makers know something that I don't know, and they probably do. It is SHARP, the first thing I did was the, 'shave my arm test', well, it works very well. How long will it stay sharp? I can't say. It is attractive, but you already know that or you would have passed it on by. The weight of it is REALLY good, it feels really good in your hand. Would I hammer on it with a piece of wood to split it another piece of wood? Not me, I don't do camp much anymore, but I do believe the Reviewer that said it didn't make it in his tests. I can't say much about carrying it on a belt, or anything that pertains to that, I don't really plan on using it that way. The sheathe is actually one of the better Nylon type ones that I have bought, although, I do agree, you'd be better off with a good leather, or a Kydex type. Nylon ones are 'too snaggy', they snag on other things, they collect lint, when you insert the knife you can snag it then, and so on, Other sheathes do not do that, at all. That's just being picky though. It does have a plastic insert for the blade, so that is good, most of the more inexpensive knives don't have that. As far as it not being a "full tang" or not, I do believe that it is, it may not be as 'wide' as the blade, horizontally, but I believe that the reason you can see where it is 'thinner' at the tang, that is because they made it where that part is slimmer, which is not a plus. It is still a strong knife even if it is a knife that doesn't have the tang where you can see it between the handle, if it were a two-piece handle. If that makes sense. I just stuck an eXacto blade into the rubber handle, it is definitely a full tang. However, it appears that the tang is only 'approximately' 1/4" to 3/8" wide at the widest part in the middle. To me, "full tang" means that it is one solid piece that starts at the blade tip and ends at the butt (pommel) of the knife. If a knife is not full tang, that can mean that it does not go all of the way to the end, to the butt. There are countless amounts of knives made that are not full tang. They aren't usually considered to be that tough though, and it makes sense. Another reason it has to be a full tang is, it's a rubber handle, if it weren't full tang the handle's butt would be able to bend, it doesn't at all. This, ought to be way better than what you paid for it, if you wanted a really nice knife without any doubts, you would have (probably) bought one that cost several times more than this one. You get what you pay for. For what I paid, I am really happy with it, although I have not used it, sharpened it, or carried it. This, to me, is what I would consider a back-up knife, I'd use it, but I am not certain that I would stake my life on it.

A Very Good Buy
I haven't actually used the knife, yet. Those things take time. BUT, the quality looks and feels very good. The handle/grip is best for small or medium-size hands, not large hands, but the textured rubber grip is EXCELLENT. I also like the finger guard (having prior experience slipping and cutting myself with other less-protected blades). The knife seems sturdy with a nice heft/weight. The scabbard is also nice, with a plastic inner liner. Just make sure when inserting the blade that it is INSIDE the liner and not behind it or your scabbard won't last long. The only other caution is that the retainer strap snap is VERY tight, so I recommend carefully opening and closing it several times, carefully, to wear/loosen it a bit. Jerking on it may cause the snap to rip away. It should not be a problem, just a suggestion. I am very happy with the size, construction, and price of this one.

Don't be fooled by the low price
Im very impressed with the quality of this knife at this price point. Its very sharp. Fit and finish are top notch and handle is very comfortable with good grip texture. The sheath is a standard nylon and functions fine but i prefer a leather scabbard so ill most likely make one or purchase one for my needs. Item arrived quickly and well packaged.

Sheath is disappointing. I believe a better quality sheath made from leather would make it more marketable and desirable. The knife is of pretty good quality. But I did not receive the free book as was advertised! ... So if you anticipate getting one, don't hold your breath. Others report not receiving the book as well!
