quality seat, the last one you'll need before boosters. a back saver!
forgot to write a review. This was the car seat we bought after our newborn out grew the infant seat. My child is 3 now, and we still use this daily. Could not recommend more, this seat is a life saver for loading children into a sedan or low SUV. Now that we have a minivan, the swivel isn't needed. But the fact that one carseat can do both rear/front means this will be the last carset you need before you need to graduate to a booster seat. 2-3 years of constant use should speak for the quality and solidity of this. We actually bought a second. The seat is a little heavy, so moving between cars is a challenge. We also had trouble securing the hooks/buckles in certain rentals (nissan altima /chevy impala IIRC). This seems to fit fine in Toyotas, multiple model Siennas, Corollas, and Camrys. The issue is in certain seats, the part where you buckle the seat into the car frame is "higher" on certain models or the seat well is too shallow, and this causes the belt tension release to press against one of the covers. We mitigated this by placing some folded towels under the seat. And we didn't care because the seat fits fine in our primary cars.

Great car seat, tricky to install
I really struggled with installing this and had to get professionals to help me. They explained the way the bench in my car worked it wasn't a good fit for having it in the middle, though i'm sure this varies by vehicle. If it's important to you to have your car seat in the middle seat and you don't have an SUV, i'd go with something else. We now have it installed on the side and it's been wonderful. The swivel has been a big relief for my back, and I don't feel I had to make sacrifices safety wise for it like I did with other swivel seats I researched. Our daughter appears very comfortable, the straps move smoothly and hold her firmly in place, and the sensor-safe works extremely well (though I needed the pros to show me where to plug that in too!). Unfortunately kiddo vomited in it ,but we found it very easy to clean! Everything came off the base and went back on easily and washed right out the first try. When the seat swivels, the leg pops up which can be unsettling but once the seat is locked in place (forward or rear facing) it isn't going anywhere. I'm grateful for all of the visual reminders indicating the seat is installed properly because we moved our front seat and it knocked the support leg off kilter. I noticed right away because of the color coding indicators at the top. Very glad we chose this car seat!

Design disaster! OMG this seat is impossible to install safely
Spent hours on this, finally put it side by side with Uppababy Mesa and City Turn to see why it just couldn't be installed securely via seat belt or anchor belt. We loved the secure feeling of this seat - your baby is truly in a protected cocoon, surround by heavy thick materials, with nice fabric and really solid heavy duty belts and buckles. Everything feels great. BUT the seat is let down by its base, which, even when the seat is back in locked position, allows so much slack between the top rotating section and the base that you get a click each time you brake or accelerate. Then, this slack is accompanied by having to push your baby and chair up to vertical in order to rotate the seat, so you're not even gaining rotation at any swivel angle for that slack. Last, and this is the worst part, the design of the base, in order to accommodate that big cocoon for your baby, requires the belt path for both seat belt and anchor belt to travel very close to parallel with the vertical surface of your vehicle seat. This means it's impossible to get enough back/forth pull, or tension in the direction perpendicular to the vehicle seat surface, to secure the seat. The belt path is basically too flat against the surface, unlike the City Turn or Uppababy Mesa, so you can never tighten the belt enough to secure the seat to your car. Or if you do, like I really tried, you start deforming/damaging your car seat belt or the Sirona's anchor belt. What a mess. Maybe they fixed this in new European version, but we seem to only have the Sirona S here in the US for now. Easy fix is to put a spacer of 3 or 4 inches between car seat and your vehicle seat, to add perpendicular belt path, but then for sure the Sirona will bump up against the front vehicle seats in most cars. So close!! The City Turn took 5 min to install tight. The Sirona S never made it. Google it - everyone has problem installing it tightly. Even if the base is set in concrete, there's still so much slack between base and seat, sigh.

Fits in a 2 door car and still allows you to get baby out!
This is a must have car seat. I have 9 month old who had grown out of the carrier/ base combo type of car seat, and needed to purchase a new car seat. I have a 2010 2 door Camaro. You have to flip the seats front forward to get to the back. I purchased a traditional rear facing car seat. Since there was no way to get to the side of the traditional rear facing car seat, there was no way to get my daughter out. I went looking for a solution. The Cybex Sirona S, is truly a miracle seat. It only has to be installed once and can be switched from rear facing to forward facing as needed by pressing a recessed area at the front of the seat. This allows you to completely turn the seat around to get your child out. You will have to stretch your arm a bit towards the front of the seat to do this. By using the same recessed button, one can also increase or decrease the angle. The seat also has a stability leg that stabilized the seat. It has a safety feature that will use the Bluetooth on your phone and a plug that gets plugged into your OBDII port in your car. It will alert you if the temperature is too high for the baby in the car and also if the baby is in the car after it has been shut off. The car seat seems comfortable for my baby. I would not have been able to use my car without this car seat. I highly recommend it to any parent.

It’s good, moves a bit but what ya expect, it’s a big heavy seat
My kid loves it. Took a bit to install and it’s heavy so it does move a tiny bit when taking hard turns but my kid loves it. Tried a Joie chill first and he was really uncomfortable and screamed the whole ride. This, he has room and is comfy
