UPDATE UPDATE: seller responded and promptly sent a replacement umbrella. Very pleased with customer service and response time. New one has been up and held up to moderate wind with no problems. I will chalk up my original delivery to bring a defective unit.UPDATE: had the umbrella up about a week and it has already broken. The plastic tip of the umbrella that holds the knot of the string has broken. So now the umbrella won't open at all. Currently waiting for the seller to respond...The umbrella was fairly easy to assemble with just one person. I filled the base with water only and it has held up to moderate wind with no problem. Even with the base full it was easy to move around. The operation of the umbrella is very smooth and easy. Feels sturdy and of good quality.

Excellent quality and great price! I have had this umbrella for almost 2 years and it has held up extremely well. Also, very impressed with their customer service …I lost one of the screws and reached out to them. They responded the next day and sent out a replacement.

We purchased two of these sun umbrellas. They are very high quality and come with the stand and are 12' is diameter, absolutely perfect to cover a large sitting area or table. The price is so so inexpensive and assembly was easy. We are going to purchase a third for our pool area.

They said it was easy to assemble, but it was not. They said it was an "upgraded" umbrella. But the video and instruction manual sure weren't upgraded. After having put the umbrella mostly together, the umbrella did not attach to the structural tube. I looked down the structural tube to see if I was missing something. Couldn't see anything, so took it apart to send back. Accidently, while re-packaging, a tube came flying out of the structural tube, which was the one to attach the umbrella itself. So I put it back together. The original photo showed a handle to move the base around. This "upgraded" one does not have one. To move the base, you have to be one husky guy, otherwise it takes several people to move it around. The umbrella does not swivel on the base, so it becomes more likely you will have to move the whole base. There wasn't really any service and it was difficult to reach. Their reply..."sorry". I'd look for a different umbrella, but this one is now assembled and it's just too much trouble to re-package and find another one.

First cantilever I have ever purchased and learned alot after the fact. If I were to do it again I would go to a box store and see the cantilever umbrellas in person. Seeing the actual size would be beneficial in deciding what size suits your needs. Looking at the base in person would also be beneficial as I know I did not expect it to be as large as it is. A feature this umbrella does not have which I am sorry it does not is the ability to turn the umbrella based on the location of the sun without having to move the base ( which by the way is over 200 pounds when filled.All that being said, this umbrella is well made, easy to put together and seems like it will easily withstand the wind.

We purchased this umbrella to cover our large table from the rain and sun. While it does block them both. I find even with the stand full of sand it still doesn’t hold up to the wind. The umbrella tends to move almost like a swing and you have to be careful that it doesn’t hit you. We have tried to make the base heavier but to no avail. The umbrella hasn’t faded and like states works well but definitely needs some more reinforcements to make the base not move. I being a mid size women can’t fix the umbrella or base if the wind comes through.

I purchased this so my dogs would have shade on our artificial turf. This umbrella is easy to assemble, although the sure you double and triple knot the inside strings or our umbrella will not open. The base must be filled with sand and water before trying to connect the top. The weight of the umbrella will knock it over otherwise.

I prefer to buy things like this from stores where I can see and feel it first. But...alas, I took a leap of faith.It was a pain to set up. Hole alignment with screws was challenging. Directions are void of words...just lame sketches. Tip... listen to your wife when she says "lets insert this last piece now while it is low, not afterwards when it is up in the air."Anyway...we got it together. Filled base with sand. opened the umbrella and from the inside, the components that lift and secure an umbrella do not extend all the way up but, instead, hang down. So the center piece of the umbrella hangs down rather low. It was not windy at all when we put it up...just occasional mild breeze. But the small breeze caused the umbrella to move all over the place...like having a giant paper plate on a stick.Totally unimpressed with this item but it was such a pain to put it together that it would be ten times more painful to take it apart and return it. I'm going to give it away to some young kids just starting out...who are still accepting of and ok with cheap and flimsy stuff. I do not recommend this at all. But the seller wins because I'm not able to return it.
