Wow
For starters the screen is amazing. Secondly the build quality is excellent. It doesn't feel cheap at all. The face button press is solid and the shoulder buttons have a satisfying clicky feel to them. The weight has to be mentioned, this thing is solid and has some heft to it. If I were being mugged in the the middle of a gaming session I'm fairly confident I could beat the dude into a coma with this thing. Full disclosure, I can't attest for the software it ships with, as soon as I got mine I loaded a 128gb microSD card preinstalled with ArkOS. With Ark the only issues I had with performance was with N64 games, however I don't play N64 so this is irrelevant. No problems with PS1, SNES, MAME, TG16 or Genesis from my testing but there are some issues with the games being stretched to fit the screen. The last thing I want to point out is the wifi capability which is awesome for someone like me who likes to have the game boxart and screenshots for my library. The only drawback being if you have a huge game library and you want all the data prepare to let it scrape overnight. My only real gripe with it is personal and has nothing to do with the quality or performance but I wish they offered it in the vaporwave style color scheme of the RG280M. I really wanted to get the 280M but the larger screen and the wifi were the two selling points that won me over. All-in-all I'd say this is a sweet little device and I'm looking forward to showing it off to all my fellow late 30s man-child friends/co-workers who all grew up with these games

Best Value for Casual/Retro Gamers!
I've owned this for several months now and can't recommend it enough. It's legit as advertised and well-worth the extra cash to get the metal version (RG351M instead of RG351P). Considering how many games you can play on this thing, it makes sense to get the more durable build.Installing ArkOS and getting the roms figured out requires a slight learning curve and I suggest getting a Samsung SD memory card (128gb or 256gb or higher) to replace the flimsy 64gb one it comes with, but once it's all set-up it's pretty damn flawless.Just having (almost) every Sonic, Mario, Donkey Kong, Crash Bandicoot, Megaman, Kirby, Pokemon, and Zelda game ever made on one device is unreal. Way better value than any of the new gaming systems. Just one new game today costs like $60, right? For slightly double that price you can put thousands and thousands of games on this device. For free. I have no idea why this isn't more popular, but it's the best value by far for casual/classic gamers. And after extensive research, it's still the very best emulator system available as of July 2021.

So much fun!
I am new to this field of doing things. However, after some YouTube helpful guides, I am getting up and running and I am finding games I have not seen or played in 15 years, and it is so fun to rediscover some of these masterpieces again. Some of the best games were from that time period, and it is amazing to be able to play them again ALL together on one device. Also, once the games are on there, they are on there to stay as long as you don't break the device/card. Nowadays we have to worry about updates for games. Not with those games. So as long as you take care of this device, you can have those games forever!

No longer works, after 4 months.
It no longer charges, and I can’t get in contact with the manufacturer. I’ve tried different cables and outlets. When I turn it on it displays that my battery is low and turns off. It’s an ok device but if I can’t get support for it, it’s not worth the money.

My first Anbernic device
So I’ve had this thing for about a month it’s been really great. I am a big fan of retro games specially, the super Nintendo and gameboy advance. The games that come with it or OK but best to check out different emulators and games to install. Would recommend to anybody that has a computer and patience to learn, proper software set up

Excellent device - make sure to install 351ELEC
I've been looking for a dedicated handheld emulator for a very long time, having installed a few on my phone and trying on a PSP once, I can confirm this is a far better experience than anything else out there. It feels well built and solid to play on, without tiring out your hands.MAKE SURE you install the 351ELEC custom firmware immediately. The stock firmware has a lot of bugs, and sleep mode pretty much crashes every time. The 351ELEC firmware fixed every issue I had and has been running smoothly for months now. Only takes a few minutes and completely upgrades the system.

Low battery issues
I loved this unit until the battery dropped below 40%. I don't think this is a common issue, but some units have a problem where the device will make a chirping noise and will experience lag in menus when the battery drops below 40%. If you get a unit that doesn't have this issue, it's absolutely fantastic - just don't expect to be able to flawlessly run anything more demanding than PlayStation games. Nintendo 64 games run, but usually have considerable lag and will have graphical issues if there is no lag present, so it isn't a good play experience. This device is best if you're looking for a handheld that can play anything up to GBA and PS1.
