Review: More effective than Affresh - I’ve used Affresh tablets to clean my washer since I’ve had it and they seemed to work fine although after using a couple of tablets the washer drum would smell a bit musty. This month I had a torture test because my front load washer suddenly had standing water in the front seal/gasket area. I was thinking I might have to call a plumber but chatGPT told me it was likely clogged drainage holes in the seal that I could clean myself. No noticeable blockage in front of the drains so I figured they needed to have sludge cleaned from the inside with chemicals. I ran two cycles of Affresh and the standing water went down a bit so it seemed to have some benefit but the clog wasn’t broken. I saw this brand on desertcart and saw it had a claim about limescale so I thought the cleaning agents might be stronger than Affresh. Put one of these tabs in the clean cycle last night and the standing water was GONE this morning!!! I compared the ingredient lists and this brand does have more actives than Affresh. I may still use Affresh occasionally for lighter cleaning but these tabs definitely are more powerful to break up sludge or clogs. So relieved to save a service call and hundreds of bucks on a plumber!

A: Different instructions based on front or top loading. Front loading is basically what you said, top loading it must sit and also run a cycle. For both the drum must be wiped out afterwards.
