This is a beautiful story that I read to my kids. Now her parents can read it to her in both languages. I just wish that it came in hard cover. I would love to find other book that have both languages. Review: I am so glad we purchased this book. I have learned new Korean words by reading this out loud to my adopted toddler; and I am helping him to maintain his first language. The English translation on each page lets me know what I am saying in Korean to him. I am learning Korean, so I am hoping one day to be able to ask him questions in Korean about what is happening on each page. You must be able to read the Korean language script if you plan to read that part out loud to your child because it is not Romanized; however, I actually like that feature. Most books have awful Romanization of the language, and it is best if you just read the Korean script for more accurate pronuniciation. The script is phonetic and it can be learned in a couple of hours if you just take the time to sit down and do it. The symbols for the consonants mirror the tongue/lips/teeth placement when pronouncing them so they become easy to remember. My only criticism for the book is that I wish the publisher had made the Korean a little larger to make the vowels easier to read. If you are learning Korean, this is a good place to start. It might seem arduous at first, but it gets easier if you practice reading out loud every day and the phonology linked to each symbol becomes instinct rather than something manually initiated by you. Am looking for more books like this. What a treasure trove this is!

It’s the classic original book with a great translation. Excellent for little kids, or even beginner Korean learners. The text is side by side with the Korean characters so if you are learning, it’s easy to read both and make the connection between the words

Beautiful hardcover children's book that displays both English and Korean.
