These are mini ice packs in a sheet. There is a porous membrane material side and a plastic side that make up a pouch filled with insta-snow powder. Once activated with water, the snow fluffs up into a gel that once frozen will retain the cold. My daughter ran it under the tap for 45 seconds and squished the inside around to throughly mix the powder and get a good reconstitution. We then blot dry and put it into the freezer overnight. I like the functionality of being able to break them apart into little pieces to put in various container sizes. In this case, we used it for a picnic so I kept the full sheet. During the hike, kids got hot so they took pieces of this and each one had a nice cooling ice pack, and because of the soft membrane side, they were able to put it on their skin with feeling cold burns. At the end of the day, this is put back into the freezer for next time. It seemed study as the pack didn’t burst open or leak, even with the kid’s tossing them around and playing with them. The ice in the picnic basket stayed frozen for a few hours, and then was able to still maintain cooled temperatures for up to 6hours in total (as a whole unit), the pieces the kids took apart to play with only lasted 1.5hours before it was no longer cold. Good value for the number of sheets you get. Worth it for everyday use for lunch bags, boo boo packs, quick cool off, fevers, etc.

Wow, just WOW!! Drove cross country with $200 worth of New Mexican green chile and these bad boys kept them all frozen in my chill bag for 2 days - probably could have gone for 3 days! Super easy to prepare, these are the perfect size to toss onto food, drinks, anything that needs to stay cold. & frozen! Quality is the best - zero leaks!

These freezer packs work great for general usage, and as long as you follow the basic instructions, you shouldn't have an issue (barring manufacturing defects). The sheet includes 12 individual "cells" that are perforated for easy separation, allowing you to customize the layout/coverage as needed, and do actually last a surprising period of time. Note that when you first hydrate these, if you place them under running water, watch them closely, as you can hydrate them to the point the cover is stretched tightly, making these more round than flat, and harder to flat pack in your container. I've only used a couple of them a few times, but so far have not had leakage issues, but they are colder than some of the other gel packs I've used (I froze these as per instructions for 24 hrs prior to using them) and did have more condensation on the non-mesh side than with other gel packs. Overall, these have been a great solution for small portable applications (I have a leather dog treat pouch I made for "high value" reward treats, and some snacks for me, I wanted to keep cold/cool), and even on longer walks in 80F+ degree temperatures under direct sunlight for 1+hrs, the contents stayed cold to the touch and fresh, something I've been having trouble achieving with non-gel ice packs.

They did not work for what we intended them for, but most likely with a Styrofoam box they would be perfect for shipping. I enjoy that these are just as easy as "just add water and freeze" ice pack. I never have extra room in my freezer for anything but these were perfectly small and compact. They are great for lunches, afternoons out, and only for the day uses out and about. They are perfect to take with in your lunch box because the the food is gone you can throw these away instead of trying to remember to take it back inside and refreeze. They ended up having great uses even if it wasnt for the intended purchase. There were a great amount in the package for the price. The quality is great for short term use, they didnt leak until well after 12 hours when they were completely unfrozen.

Bought these to keep medicine frozen during air travel. It was easy to follow the directions for freezing them. They kept my meds frozen during 7-8 hours of travel - airport arrival to hotel room. TSA compliant and no issues. I bought a small medical case to use and easily remove from my personal carry on if necessary for inspection but it wasn’t pulled for review.

The details say that they will be flat, however when I soaked them, they swelled up and was not flat any longer. We used them anyways outside to keep metal bowls cold to display our dips at vendor events, they did not stay cold long enough, which was only 4 hours. Ok, but not for event usage.

Worked well for one time use. Good price point for that if its what you're looking for. Lasted the delivery trip. Liked it overall. Would buy again.

Easy to use and reuse, it’s so cool that it comes in flat sheets and you just allow the water to run into them and fill to desired size. Freeze and they are ready. We left ours out at 22oC temperature to see what would happen and they lasted 7 hours, without being in any cooler and never lost a drop of moisture. Definitely will buy more in the future! Great product.

molded after a year of use. Maybe i let it sit defrosted for too long but it wasn't fun to discover. I would keep majority just in storage and use 4 at a time. I like how its compact to store and you can shape it into whatever you want in the freezer.

I’ve ordered product similar to this and I was looking forward to them staying in large pieces however once soaked in water they all fell apart into individual pieces not very useful except for lunches
