You plug this thing into a standard electric outlet, and hook the cables to the car battery. In our case, the battery is for a 1998 Tacoma that we don't drive very often. It gets depleted periodically and then the truck won't start. We have used this charger on it twice and it has done the job. It's not a quick charger. It's has been an overnight process for us. But at the end of it, we have a functioning battery again. No, jumping, no AAA, and no charging while driving after a jump, which I've been told is bad for the alternator or the generator or something.The power cord on this charger is fairly short. Unless you are parked really close to an electrical outlet, you'll need to remove the battery and carry it closer to power. I'd rate this a good purchase. Cheap, simple, and it works. If any weirdness develops, I'll revise the rating, but for now, it's a 5.

Use on our 300kw generator. Very solid & reliable. They come with the harness kit that has ring terminals to connect to your battery post clamps - ring terminals wired thru a 3amp fuse with a polarized plug on the end. Since our generator is stationary, these are a permanent install. On you vehicles, the device can be permanently or temporarily mounted so all you need is an extension cord to power it. Nice that they sell a 2 pack. Our generator uses 2 batteries (24v system) and we have each battery being maintained by its own device. We have been through half a dozen of the 24v battery maintainers in the last few years - for some reason they don't live long. We leave ours powered on constantly. Our batteries are always ready! Every month when we do our PM & exercise run of the motor, the batteries are fully charged. The individual chargers never got hot or operated in an erratic way. We also own a second pack of these for our UTVs. Ditto on performance as mentioned above. The UTVs use those AGM batteries and all is well - no overcharging. Obviously these charger/maintainers work with regular flooded lead acid batteries. So if own equipment that sees seasonal or standby use, get a set of these devices. Awesome price point for a pair of them. They do not dissapoint. Two thumbs up!

I purchased this trickle charger to maintain the charge on the battery on my SUV that isn’t driven often. The clamps are small but fit the terminals on my battery. The connection cables are short but it but comes with a 6 ft cord that gives a total length of 8ft. I still had to buy an additional charging cable for more length in order to reach between my car and the outlet. The face of the charging pack has ‘lead acid’ and lithium LifePO4 modes but it doesn’t detect between the two so you need to make sure which mode it’s on. A blue light flashes on whatever mode it’s on. You will have to manually change the mode but I think it defaults to lead acid which is standard for a car battery. Overall, this an easy to use trickle charger that not only charges but maintains the charge of a battery without overcharging once the battery is fully charged. All I had to do was secure the clamps to the positive and negative terminals on my car battery and let it do the rest. Basically, set it and forget it. It’s a good buy for what it does.

Great, inexpensive charger/maintainer. My 2016 Triumph Street Twin was dead from not being driven. Connected this charger up and two hours later, the bike fired right up. So happy. Gonna keep it nearby for the winter, to keep my beloved Triumph ready to hit the streets of Dallas.

This Battery Charger works as it should. I had to order for my new Motorcycle Lithium Battery. To switch between a Traditional battery vs Lithium Plug in the power Click Mode button to switch to Lithium, and then plug into the Motorcycle battery plug.

This works great for charging my riding mower battery.

Ces chargeurs les ont ramenés à la vie depuis que je les laisses connecter tout l’hiver au lieu d’entrer les batteries à l’intérieur. Bien plus simple et ca fait la job à merveille! I love this battery charger!! My Toro Zero turn was always having battery issues, and I had to boost it continually. But this little charger charged up my battery in less than 24 hours!! Easy to hook up, easy to use, very easy to see the amount/status of charging.
