Window Tint for Home One Way Window Film Privacy Anti-UV Heat Control Reflective Glass Film Vinyl for Home Office, Silver Black, 35.4 Inch X 6.5 Feet

Well, our summers can get up to 108 sometimes 110. We usually hover around 103. SO this year, I wasn't going to let the single-pane window that gets direct sun outdo me. I bought this film a year ago and never got around to it. I don't know why the idea of dealing with a window and soapy water was intimidating to me, initially. If that also bothers you somehow, I wouldn't let that be a barrier. I thought I was going to be dealing with a sticky mess. That was not the case and I wish I had known that the soap element was a non-issue. Also, I was worried about the bubbles under the film - again I didn't have a problem getting the bubbles out. I saturated the window so maybe that's why. In the past, I had put so many decals on my child's toys - the toy ride-alongs were the WORST with their large decals. I think this also held me back. So, if you have lingering memories of huge stickers that you needed to install onto your child's toys - this is 100% NOT like that nightmare. 1) The film is a nice thickness. It didn't bunch. 2) My 12 year old and I put this up together and didn't argue due to frustration. WIN!! 3) I purchased a 98 cent 8 oz spray bottle and filled it with cool water and gave a healthy squirt of Dawn liquid dish soap. We didn't even come close to using half the bottle of water 4) We did two panes that were 32 inches x 34 inches. 5) I needed help getting the top of the film up and it was easy to reposition as we pulled the film off. In fact, once it was about a 1/4 on I probably could have managed the rest on my own. But, the kiddo hung in there and smoothed out the bubbles - we used a standard squeegee that we use on the car windows. Overall I am very pleased with the quality! I felt the heat reduce as we were installing. I'm so thankful for this window film!!

This product does EXACTLY what it says it will do. I am amazed. I still cannot believe it as we have looked for something that would block the intense UV light through the skylights but still give us the light... nothing has worked! In desperation we even taped aluminum foil! It stopped the light but not the heat. This material is like magic.... the heat is stopped, the carpet fading and damaging UV light is blocked but the illumination is so great but softened that it is better than nothing at all. We still cannot believe how easy to install and how after over a month it looks like day of installation.... it anything changes I will update but I just wish we had more places to use it. I am recommending to all my family and friends. Thank you!!!!

I have to say this is a good product of you are doing a large window with clean metal frames. I have high confidence I can pull off most everything I try but this was one of the worst attempts Ive tried. I needed this on my old wooden framed french door panes and it was not fun!. I got the job done on one door. Not looking forward to doing the other two doors. First of all this stuff is much thicker than I expected so getting a clean razor cut on corners was really hard for me. Too thick to even get a good metal straight edge lined up in the corners for a smooth cut. I did one of those jobs that you give up and say "good enough" and walk away frustrated. It does give a nice tint for the interior. I just wish I could have gotten clean lines but with old wood frames that isn't going to happen. Do yourself a favor and avoid using any part of the roll that has their masking tape adhesive left behind. When I tried to use a product to remove the masking adhesive left behind it ate right through the tint. Now I have a pain/pane I need to redo. I would recommend this on a new window with nice clean panes but I would avoid use it on a job like mine.

This was easy to measure and cut. I followed the instructions however after I trimmed the edges I tried to push out the soap water to the edges but it didn't seem to remove all the water. I noticed after it dried up that the edges aren't adhered to the window. For the most part it does cover and it doesn't show through during the day time. I thought it was going to be mirror sharp but it's more of a blurry mirror looking from the outside inward. With little choice, since I needed the window covered I guess I should be happy that it's on even though the edges aren't completely adhered. It's doing more of it's job then not so I'm satisfied.

This window film was advertised as quick and easy to install,and it was anything but. It was extremely difficult to unroll and cut, no matter how much soapy water one used to get it to stick flat it refused to do so. IAnd far from being one way, you can easily see the interior of the space behind it even in bright external sunlight. The application kit, which must be bought separately for an exorbitant price is cheap, flimsy and a joke to try and use. The Chinese manufacturer is laughing hysterically all the way to the bank at myself and anyone stupid enough to believe the advertisement. JUST DO NOT BOTHER, YOU’ll SAVE YOURSELF MONEY,TIME AND FRUSTRATION..

Texas sun seeping through your windows equals heat into your home.... electric bills get higher since your AC has to work harder from that sun heat. This tint is way better than others i have bought with sticky backing... every year i have to replace the tint from the heat expanding and cool contracting the relective film resulting in cracking... only way to remove that is with a razor blade on a stick... it really stinks!! This film is not sticky and adheres to the glass wonderfully! Has blocked quite a bit of heat and works great... best part is when i have to replace this one it will just peel off... no scraping!! 10/10

Purchased this product for my sons nursery a couple years ago so we could black it out and he would sleep better. We loved it so much that we bought another roll. This product is no longer 100% black out. See my photo. The bottom is the old version. The top is the new version. I’ve contacted the seller to make sure there wasn’t a mixup on their end and will update review when they respond. As of now I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re looking for blackout. Edit: seller stated there are slight differences in production… ?? But ultimately gave me a refund. Happy with customer service but now I need to find another brand that is actually blackout.
