Having the ability to run cable length tests on each cable pair is very handy as this will give an idea where the fault lies if the cable tester reports a fault on a particular conductor. Having the ability to tone from this device as well (paired with the klein probe) is a very good feature as it means you don't have to carry lots of different testers in your tool bag. I have used this after running network cables to all rooms in the house but have also since used out on site for checking g cable quality on cat 6 cables.
