Great Picture Quality. The camera can see better than I can at night.
It really is a great dashcam and backup up camera. The picture quality is amazing and when it's pitch black at night, the camera has a great viewing ability. Truly amazing. I had a friend yesterday after installing it that it looks like watching a movie. I know installing it is intimidating and I had a friend help me but it's worth saving $250-$400. Here are steps and what to look out for: 1.) Remove passenger side A arm, that was on my side on my ford f-150 2007 for the fuse box. 2.) Remove fuse panel and use a circuit tester to look for 10 and 15 amp rated fuses that are insignificant like hazards, cigarette lighter (don't tie into airbags, ecm, etc in case something went wrong). The yellow wire with the fuse is your constant power and the red wired fuse is your 12v. Test with key on and key off either side of the 2 holes on the fuse. Make sure to ground the black wire to a bolt near the fuse box because it can't be a painted surface for a good connection. Dashcam fits over the rear view mirror with straps or adhesive tape. 3.) Remove tailight on passenger or driver side, depending on your vehicle. Run other end of camera under the frame (mine was the frame due to bring a truck) with zip ties up until above the running board. Remove weather stripping rubber next to seat and floor of front seat. Poke hole where wire junction is in the rubber to feed wiring up into the car/truck. (Easier than removing interior floor board). Run up A arm and tuck behind visor. *Don't run into hole by foot pdeals for 2 reasons. There is a hot exhaust manifold and there is barely enough length of wiring*. 4.) Poke firmly and I mean firmly to get a good contact with circuit tester (not a multimeter) on reverse light wire. Should be one of two. Put car in reverse, take key out with emergency brake on or have someone else reverse the car while testing it. Ground black wire near unpainted bolt by reverse light and clamp down on t-tap with existing reverse wire and new red wire for 12volts. 5.) Use T-taps and attach wire (believe its red) that's not black to the 12v wire you tested with a circuit tester. Attach black wire to ground. Use adhesive tape and in my case for best visibility, zip ties to back up camera. May want to use a fuse relay in case of a short in the future to avoid damaging wiring harness. Run up A arm and plug into rear view mirror dashcam. Great customer service that will call you back and give you technical support fir the installation. I ended buying the oem wolfbox g840h dashcam mount so it goes directly to my windshield instead of over the previous rear view mirror. Much better in terms of aesthetics so I recommend doing that. If you do that, thieves will never know its an aftermarket accessory they can steal. You're all set! I hope this helps as that's what I want instead of a video because it's intimidating for the first time.

Finally, a piece of mind while driving in a chaotic world.
Fam!!! Hear me out!!! It's worth your money!! The quality is so excellent even the video quality is excellent. The camera functionality is easy to navigate. You're able to adjust it however you please. It doesn't bring up glare while driving at night and it comes with 24-hour recording. The rear view camera will wrap around your original real View Camera. It does come with the SIM card. It comes with the Wi-Fi for you to connect. I bought the one with the GPS, which shows on my review camera. You'll see the direction and the driving speed you're going. I find it helpful for your back camera. The line is very long. You will have extra for a compatible car. This makes me feel comfortable because now I'm prepared for any mishaps and can easily inform the authorities and the insurance company. The only thing that isn't ideal is that you have to connect it to the smoke socket.

I really like this BUT
Overall, I really like this for my 2011 Kia Optima which has the standard factory radio and no backup camera. That's not to say it's perfect because it does have nuances that are less than desirable. Using this fake mirror effectively requires a certain amount of discipline, good situational awareness, and patience. If you have an older vehicle that you do not want to or can't afford to install an aftermarket radio with backup camera, then this is a good alternative. If you can afford an aftermarket radio with backup camera, then that is the way to go. Installation is not difficult. Anyone who can handle minor maintenance on your vehicle should be able to install this in about an hour or two. Pros + high quality, does not feel cheap + superb daytime image quality in the right conditions such as sun in front of you + backup camera for parking it works well and has real time adjustable view + touch screen controls are simple and easy to use + I like the fact that it records front and rear for safety reasons + screen brightness can be adjusted by sliding up-down on the right side of the touchscreen ++ during the day swipe up to brighten, at night swipe down to dim the supernova headlights Cons - when the sun is behind you it is usable but creates reflections and a glare - nighttime image quality is complicated -- no traffic behind you, it works well -- if there is traffic behind you, it looks like a merged super nova Caution - cars and objects are much closer than they appear - during the day a green blue flicker caused by contrast light conditions can be distracting - during the day, the superb image quality can be distracting odd as it sounds - screen reflections can take you an additional second to view the rear camera properly Again, I like it overall for its quality and safety reasons. If you can't afford an aftermarket radio with a camera, then this is a good option if you're patient and disciplined enough to use it wisely.

Great mirror. Super convenient, and offers a lot.
Wonderful product, but if I can make any suggestion, I would say: purchase the hardwire kit. Originally my plan was to hardwire the mirror to my battery, and I thought the kit was included, but you have to purchase it separately, which is fine, but I’m i forming you now so that if you have the intention to hardware it to the car like I did, you a complete the installation same day rather than having to run back to Amazon to purchase the kit and finish the intended installation later. But the product is wonderful. A lot of functions and capabilities, and I could not be happier.

4 years makes a world of difference!
Back in 2021 I picked up a Wolfbox G840S and had it hardwired in, it had a few quirks like occasionally not wanting to boot up in the cold, not talking to the GPS sensor and more... however it did the job I wanted it to do, it streamed the rear camera in real time and recorded front and back without issue. - I reached out to wolfbox and they generously sent me a second GPS sensor and when that failed, a second core camera unit. while the GPS issue never quite worked right, I wasn't too worried about it and was impressed with Wolfbox's willingness to work with me. Recently it would no longer take power, and attempting to troubleshoot it, I realized it was the base unit not keeping a steady connection to the power cable.... I reached out to wolfbox knowing it was past the 1 year warranty, but hoping maybe they could sell me a refurbished head unit (2021 model uses mini-USB). Really I just didn't want to start over from scratch and I really didn't want to have to rewire my car again. They responded back and while unable to get me a replacement for that model headunit, offered me 20% off refund on the purchase of a new one. I upgraded to the G840H (wifi\app enabled) which was on a 30% sale... and they still gave me 20% off that. I also picked up a mini to USB-C adapter to reuse my existing power. Changed out the main unit only, using the adapter and it came right up. My only complaint is it no longer seems to "detect" when the car is off, going into parking mode, but my answer to that is to just unplug the power from the adapter. Yeah I don't get parking mode, Which I used a few times when I was curious... but honestly I've not really needed it and I know it's mostly likely due to me using the older wiring harness + adapter vs getting a new one and either having it put in or doing an install myself. After getting it up and going, it worked with the GPS sensor (the first one) that supposedly wasn't in an optimal position (center top of windshield, vs their prefered of center bottom) - picked up time, used the card already installed (didn't put in a bigger one since this has wifi to pull quicker) picture was not only everything I expected of my old one, but sharper, cleaner and it even "erased" the lines that I usually saw out the back camera from the rear defroster (camera is mounted inside the rear window near top center) GPS is working so I get speed and direction + automatic time updates... App worked great with little issue, able to connect to it anytime i'm in range. This makes our 3rd wolfbox streaming mirror with the other one being in my wife's jeep (and the first one being the one I just replaced) - now if only they made a motorcycle dash cam, we'd have one on every vehicle (used rexing for that one and it's just not as good.)

It messed up with car batteries and alternator.
It is a fuzzy image at best at night. Can't read the plate numbers even the daytime with the Sun. It did not catch the small incident while we parked the car and away. Still hoped it would save us from any unfortunate events. Never did. Just good for the yt type of videos for car journeys. Guess what. It drained the car batteries twice and had to replace the alternator, once, already. More hassles and $$$ the company would not pay for. Not worth it.

Sadly Disappointed - NOT! (UPDATED)
4/18/22 As so many other reviews has mentioned, after my negative review (partial below), Wolfbox contacted me and offered me a full replacement. It was at my house in just there days! I installed the new dashcam and total success! The picture is now excellent and I am thrilled with the device! My first cam must have just had a defective electronic part but Wolfbox, no questions asked, replaced it and I am 100% satisfied and happy! I highly recommend this dashcam. The video is fantastic and despite a few quirks of functionality the device is just wonderful. I will keep watching for future Wolfbox products for future needs and tech upgrades. I highly recommend this product! Thanks Wolfbox and Rosie at customer service! If only all companies were like yours!!! 1. Installation was not a problem and the length of the rear camera cord was sufficient. 2. Display... *** Although clarity and resolution are good (not great), my display continuously changes "tint". It changes from "normal" to a strong blue tint, sometimes a green tint, back to normal, randomly and continuously. Sometimes it flashes very quickly between these "tints". It's very distracting and disappointing. This is NOT due to headlights or other light interference as it does this in daytime when it's just videoing a still, unchanging scene. *** M
