Best pan for one at a great price!
Awesome price, quality (it's LODGE!) sized for one person and bakes the best cornbread ever. I love this little cutie, perfect size for one person and fits in the air fryer! Heats like a dream on my glass stovetop. Great for crisping up grilled cheese, one burger, the list goes on and on.

A nice pan for small meals and maybe for tamagoyaki omeletes
This is a very nice little cast iron pan that could be used to make Japanese tamagoyaki omelets as some people have suggested. I have attached a side by side photo with a real tamagoyaki pan I got for $8 at Daiso. You can see that the real tamagoyaki pan is the same width, but it is a couple inches longer and a little deeper. This Lodge pan would work for tamagoyaki, but it might be difficult to roll the omelet. However, the Lodge pan is a very good quality cast iron pan that is well worth the price. So far I have used it to fry eggs, and I made some square pancakes. I also made a grilled cheese sandwich, and it works great for all of those. This is the perfect size for a quick small meal. I probably won't use it for tamagoyaki omelettes, but I think it could work if you didn't have a real tamagoyaki pan. It would be awesome if Lodge would make a tamagoyaki pan for a good price.

Perfect Little Skillet for Eggs and Everyday Use
I picked up the Lodge 5.5-inch Wonder Skillet mainly to cook eggs, and it’s been fantastic. It comfortably fits 2–3 large eggs, making it ideal for quick breakfasts without dragging out a full-size pan. The compact size heats up fast and evenly, and the pre-seasoned surface gives a nice nonstick effect once it’s broken in. To boost the seasoning, I gave it a quick oil rub and baked it in the oven at 400°F for an hour. That extra layer made a noticeable difference—eggs slide around easier, and cleanup is even smoother. It’s now a go-to pan in my kitchen. I love how sturdy it feels—classic Lodge quality. It holds heat beautifully, which means my eggs cook evenly with no hot spots. Cleanup is easy too: I just rinse with hot water, scrub with salt if needed, dry it on the stove, and rub in a little oil before storing. It’s always easy and ready to go next time. Whether you’re making eggs, toasting nuts, or whipping up a grilled cheese, this little skillet is surprisingly versatile. Great for small kitchens, side dishes, or anyone who wants a reliable cast iron pan without the bulk.

I LOVE this little pan!
This pan is great for making single servings or grilling a sandwich. My favorite for making grilled cheese but uses are limited only by your imagination. Oven safe. Small size is great for using home stovetop, or smaller toaster oven as well as camping and reduces the weight that cast iron is known for. Stores easy. As with all cast iron, you must take care to thoroughly dry and oil it and it will last your lifetime. It's easy to do, as soon as you're done cooking, put a little water and scrub with a natural bristle cleaning brush, wipe it down and set it back on the warm burner, give it a quick rub with avocado oil or grease , done!No nasty pfoa's and as a bonus , you will get a little extra iron in your food which your body uses. Small but mighty
I use this solo camping. It's prefect for a couple of eggs or a burger. Lodge is always quality so no complaints there. I do need a larger skillet so I just ordered an 8" to go along with this. Maintain your cast iron properly and this little guy will last a lifetime.

Lodge small square cast iron skilletiron
Even though I checked out measurements, this was still a little smaller than I was expecting. However, since it's just me, it works fine for my purposes. Already used it 3 times

Years back, I was fortunate enough to have a hi-end gas stove/range, at which time I started to buy various Lodge utensils. Nothing is better than gas for cooking, nothing is better than cast iron. Now, after a separation, I no longer have the gas, but I still have the lodge cookware, to which I just added this as a fancy. It is really cute, kind of pointless because you can only do one item (sandwich, omelet, whatever) at a time, but really fun nonetheless. Ideal if you are cooking just for you. It is great for quickie breakfast bits . . . Like anything Lodge makes, it is excellent . . . and if cared for properly, will last forever. Cast iron, if used properly is far superior to anything else for cooking. It's heat retention (and consistency) is a huge plus when you are cooking. There are other cast iron manufacturers out there, most of who dress up their cookware with enamel coatings which look really fine, but are a double edged sword. They cost a fortune compared to bare cast iron . . . a lot of people will foolishly scrub the surfaces aggressively with a scouring pad, thus putting minute scratches into the surface and making it LESS non-stick, and finally, they are little more than a fashion show for your kitchen. Colour is nice, but honestly, a bare cast iron Lodge pan will do it for a fraction of the cost, and with less maintenance. The money you save will buy other pans, or a few bottles of excellent wine ;-) All in all, another great product from Lodge (I just ordered their wedge cornbread skillet also). I recommend that anyone who enjoys the kitchen try cast iron if you haven't yet. You won't be disappointed. Finally, anyone who is using a mix of pans, i.e. other materials that usually have insulated handles, BUY a dedicated silicone grip for your cast iron . . . otherwise you will probably spend suppertime in the ER having burns attended to. The handles get hot, and if you are used to grabbing your t-fal or whatever, it is only a matter of time before you burn yourself . . . get silicone grips
