Clauss 18516 7-Inch Titanium Bonded Ultraflex Bent Shear, green

This is my 2nd pair. They are the best made shears I have ever owned. They arrive sharp and stay sharp after many years of use.

Cuts through some pretty tough stuff and stays sharp

We've been most impressed by their ability to trim surface fat -- not easy to get at lobes, but fat layered on the surface -- from chicken thighs. We agree with other positive comments here.

I was given a pair of these scissors to use at work and jumped on Amazon to see if I could get a pair for home as well. They are very sharp and very sturdy. I've used them to snip and slice through all sorts of paper, cardboard, leather, plastic, and may have even used them on rare occasion inappropriately to clip some small gauge wires in miscellaneous computer cables. The edges have stayed sharp through the abuse and I am quite happy with the scissors.

These are great sizzers, very sharp

These are exquisitely made and will cut anything from paper to hard plastic, to leather evenly, consistently, and like butter. Haven't tried them on sheet metal but I am sure they would work just as easily. All these boxes of 3-4 "titanium" clippers you get by the bunch are beyond crap compared to these. Yes, its only ONE pair but when you consider these are nigh on indestructible, of perfect construction, and made like a Mercedes, they are a steal. I wish I had know about them years ago!

See the attached photographs. The part that I circled will pinch your skin if it gets in the way, and if you are cutting something substantial with it that requires using some force, that will hurt! Photograph #2 shows me gripping it, and you can see the vulnerability of my middle finger. What I did was to cut the edges down so that is more rounded and not square. The plastic on the handle is soft enough so that you can do that with a pair of diagonal cutters (what I used) or a file. See photograph #3.

This scissors stays sharp, even after abuse. My previous pair was wonderful until it was used to cut metal! It did it, but was never the same. I use them in the kitchen to cut up food and, after washing, for paper and opening packages. I have never had a scissors that stayed this sharp for as long as it did.
