Great SUP/Surfboard Cradle for a Fair a price.
Extreme Max SUP/Surfboard Wall Cradle works great and super easy to install. Good value for the money. Others have noted that the screws that come in the box are crap. Well, yes the screw heads are a bit shallow and soft metal. However, if you pre-drill holes with a slightly smaller drill say 5/32 you will have a much easier time. Do not attempt to power drill or power screw the screws into wood as they will strip easily. If you first pre-drill and then hand turn the screws with a manual hand screw driver while applying constant forward pressure and turning slowly, you will have no problems mounting the cradles without stripping the screw heads. I don’t know what metal the screws are made of and I am concerned they will rust given exposure to the salty air here at the beach. Given the application these screws should be stainless steel but I doubt they are. It will be interesting to see if they rust in a year or two. I hope they don’t. Anyway, this cradle kit is a good inexpensive solution to hold and store a board.

Easy storage solution, but plan to supply your own screws
These hooks are well designed, yet simple and easy to install. I bought two sets and installed them outdoors, on our boathouse piles under a roof. They hold our 11 foot paddleboards perfectly, leaving room for us to move around our pier. It's fairly easy to get the boards in and out of storage. The included hardware is a joke; even after drilling pilot holes these screws started camming out only about halfway in. I just used outdoor deck screws that are stronger and much more weather resistant. My biggest concern is how these will hold up to weather. They are covered but exposed to sun. I think the foam padding will be the first casualty.

Sturdy product
Great product. Well made and very sturdy. The foam padding can be slid up or down to your liking to help with abrasion at either end. Also, as several customers suggested, we put tennis balls on the ends that stick out.Regarding the screws, yes the head will strip out without proper preparation.Suggestions:1. Drill an appropriately sized pilot hole.2. Apply soap (bar type not liquid) to the screw threads. No problem:)Hope this helps.

The Units are great but bring your own screws
Love the brackets - they were easy to set up and work great but the screws they send in the package are CRAP! Stripped the very first time I tried to screw them into the wall. Ended up dumping them and using wood screws I had at home.Love the storage - wish they gave better supplemental hardware

Good product to store your SUP
This is a substantial product that does the job. I had two issues during installation. The screw heads strip easily. Pre-drilling with an 1/8 bit was necessary and you still have to take care. After the product was hung, I had to cover the screw heads with black tape to ensure they would not scratch the board.

Great Solid Wall Rack for SUPs
I had another wall rack cradle that was pretty flimsy and I wanted something different to mount my new boards. The Extreme Max cradles are very solid and mount very easily. They held my 12.6' board and an 11.0' board very easily. The bottom mounting hole has a flange that snugs the cradle up against the wall so it does not move. The only negative comment from me was the padding was twisted on the upper mounting hole. The padding cannot be twisted back to align with the mounting hole. Once I located the mounting hole through the padding the tapcon went it normally. I just wasn't pleased about adding another hole to the padding. I read in another post about the top caps and I added a pic. I will definitely go to Lowe's and get a soft cap for it so it cannot rub against the board (see pic). Overall I am very pleased with the cradle set.
