I followed some YouTube examples and added a Variable ND filter that screws onto the camera. (I'm using that for video to keep my exposure settings where I want them to adhere to the 180 rule.) Next I added a step-up ring that fits between the ND filter and the Ulanzi Wide Angle lens. (I have not used the macro option on this filter but what a great added benefit.) The short version is that this lens helps resolve the camera problem of not having a wide enough view angle, ESPECIALLY when using the stabilization setting on the FV-1 version cameras because of the crop in 'feature' that occurs when stabilization is turned on. This does add more weight and bulk to these small form factor cameras. However, what we're really after is good video. I am willing to have a bit more weight and bulk. For a much less expensive camera I've been able to get a better image. Eventually I will get a different primary vlogging camera and use this for b-roll or as a top camera. For now I'm really happy with it and will add more down the road with more use. And really, this still isn't as heavy or bulky as a much higher $$ vlogging camera with a separate lens! 2 last mentions. First, because I'm using the F version I do not know how this works with the adhesion ring. There are some extremely positive reviews on YouTube as well as a some less than positive mentions.
