Is it necessary to have subscription or can it work like xt2 via app with limited storage?

I’ve had my Blink for 2 years and it’s been great but now they want me to get a Subscription. Without a subscription this device is now virtually useless. You can’t record anything so what’s the point of a security camera that doesn’t record?? It’s £50 to buy a camera but approx £25 a year for a subscription. Why after 2 years they suddenly spring this subscription on you I don’t know ?!!

Is there a zoom facility? I am thinking of using this to monitor the likes of Hedgehogs in my garden

Whilst watching a recording you can zoom in but you cannot set the cameras to zoom on a certain area, this would have to be done when mounting/selecting the cameras location

Can you add these to an exsisting XT2 system?

New cameras can be added to any existing Blink system, and will share their free cloud recording if previously setup. New systems will require a subscription to cloud record.
