My hairstylist turned me on to EVO products. First time we used the product 'EVO Liquid Rollers' and it really helped shape and lift the curl. This product, EVO TOTAL Recoil Curl Definer takes it to the next level! This product gives your curls structure and definition without feeling sticky or having your curls feel 'hard'. I put this on, a little dab will do ya, depending on the length of your hair. I put it in the palm of one hand and rub my fingers all in it and work it into the root of my hair and pull it out to the ends. Then I 'work my curls' ( you curly haired folks know what I'm talkin' about!) and let it air dry for a bit till the curl's definition is showing. Get the dryer with the diffuser out and just gently fluff my curls while drying. Hair looks and feels great! I even use this product in-between shampoos for styling. I get up in the morning, wet my hair with my fingers till damp and throw in a little of this-scrunch, air dry and go. OH- and even though this is a bit pricey, it lasts for a long time. Highly recommend!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This curl cream is the best! While it’s a little pricey, I think it’s totally worth it. It really gives your curls definition without weighing them down too much.

I love this product. I didn't love it the first use because I used too much. The next time I used a much smaller amount and worked it into my wet hair, wrapped my hair in a T Shirt, then let my hair air dry. This product creates curls where I didn't even realize I had curls! Truly! It adds moisture to tame the frizz, creates the curls, and makes hair soft and shiny. I'm usually not impressed by hair care products but I must say, I am impressed by this one. I also use EVO's Baby Got Bounce.

This is not unscented. It has a strong flower fragrance to it. Unfortunately, fragrance - essential oils, synthetic fragrance, and most real flowers - trigger debilitating migraines in me that not only are painful but are accompanied by auras which limit my visual field. I was so excited to try this, but just smelling it out of the packaging has triggered a migraine. Please revise the description so people with scent sensitivities don't accidentally bring triggers into their home!

I saw a girl at the hospital I work at with these amazing curls. I also have curly hair and wanted a product that would not leave my hair feeling stiff. She told me about Total recoil and so I went to the amazon website and found it. I love this stuff. Just wash, apply the recoil and diffuse. So easy! and I have soft beautiful curls.

This product does exactly what it says it does in giving strong hold to curls. I use it almost as a setting gel after applying it through my hair and then placing some curlers in my hair to get the curls to really stay in place. The gel also makes my hair shiny without flaking or feeling stiff.

Little disappointed, was expecting it to hold my curls better especially for the price.

I say tragically good because this stuff is very expensive, but it's the first thing I've found in eight years that does anything useful to my hair. I used to use Trevor Sorbie curl cream before that discontinued, and never managed to find anything else that worked as well. Went through a lot of curl creams and gels and frizz creams looking for a replacement and wasted a lot of money, but this stuff does in fact work. It has a very strong hold on my curls. I have to apply it immediately after a shower when my hair is still soaking wet or it doesn't work nearly as well, even a couple minutes makes a difference, so any other buyers keep that in mind. This little tube is going quite a long way - I've had it for weeks. When it's finished, I'm likely to buy the bigger bottle, since that's less money per ml.
