Buy THIS don't buy THAT (Dremel) so much better
Wow... So I got on the app to find a new handheld rotary tool.... I saw this in my search results, despite it not being cordless. Having purchased it before, the date of previous purchase was June 2020.... I thought about it for a second. Since then....... I've been through 4 Dremel stylo 3 of the comparable sized corded Dremel tools as well... Along with various brands of handheld ones. You know which one is still working??? Yup this one... I had to go through my old orders and come back to write a review. I recall at the time I bought it I was really worried about it being "as good as" a high end brand. Please. As good as?? This blows them out the water. After SEVERAL Dremel brand rotary tools have made their way into the trash due to worn out motors, failed power switches, no longer staying straight as it rotates, and other issues due to wear. This tool still works beautifully. You'll get your money's worth and then some.

Very good product
Ive used name brand dremel multi tools. This is just as good. I havent had it long so im not sure about longevity and the cutt off wheels that come with it are small n cheap but thats to be expected for a little kit . I went n got a dremel cut off wheel with there quick connect setup and cut threw a grade 8 bolt that was stuck on my motorcycle. Cuts with ease . Seems well put together and durable and the weight of it is comparable to a dremel brand multi tool. All n all this is a good purchase and costs way less so yea definitely worth it

Good buy
It works very well, but the cutting discs are awful Thin and easy to break. Other than that, it is a great rotary tool.

Works great!
I’ve been using the WEN 2305 Rotary Tool Kit with Flex Shaft for a while now, and it’s turned into one of my go-to tools for woodworking projects. I use it for all kinds of things—detail sanding, carving, engraving, shaping small pieces, and cleaning up tight corners where bigger tools just can’t reach. The included attachments give you a good range to play with right out of the box, so you can jump straight into projects without having to buy a bunch of extras. The flex shaft is the real star for me. It makes detailed work so much easier and more controlled, especially when I’m doing fine carving or engraving on wood. Instead of holding the whole tool, you just hold the pen-style handpiece, which feels way more precise. For the price, it’s hard to beat. It’s not some heavy-duty industrial machine, but for home DIY and woodworking projects, it does a great job and has held up well. If you like doing detailed woodwork or small craft projects, this kit is a really solid addition to the toolbox.

Phenomenal Value
Bought this $20 WEN rotary tool 7 years ago thinking it was disposable. It’s been dropped, overheated, caked in metal and plastic dust, and never cleaned once. Still works exactly like day one. Not fancy, not quiet, just stupidly reliable. For the price, it’s hard to beat.

More Toy than Tool.
I had a similar, inexpensive rotary tool for a bunch of years that I got by with until the plastic holding the shaft lock broke and I could no longer tighten tools into it. I balked at the price of a Dremel brand upgrade, so I got this tool set at 1/4 the price. Unfortunately, this tool did not meet my expectations, even at such a reduced price. I returned it and ponied up the big bucks for an actual Dremel brand that is doing a much better job as a tool for getting stuff done. The problems with this Wen tool are (keep in mind, this is comparing to a Dremel that costs four times as much): * Weak motor- grinding tools slow way down when any pressure is applied. Dremel is more powerful and holds its speed under pressure much better. * No keyless chuck. You need to use a wrench to tighten tools. Dremel keyless chuck works well for most uses. * Flex shaft broke (snapped drive cable) almost immediately In conclusion, this tool was not robust enough to meet my needs. If you are just doing very light work, this $20 tool might be fine for you. If you want a tool that will last, and not just a toy, my recommendation is to spend the money on an actual Dremel brand tool instead. Note- I do not make this recommendation lightly. I almost always am satisfied with low-cost alternatives to name brands in most products. This tool is an exception. Maybe there are better lower-cost alternatives out there, I just haven't tried them.

The machine is a total waste. I bought this rotary tool on the 18th of April ‘18 and was delivered to me on the 24th of April ‘18. In one day of use, in which the usage was just to test the product, the below mentioned things have happened. 1. In 10 minutes of first time use, the sanding drum mandrel bent out of shape after immense vibrations. The sanding drum ripped apart while sanding a piece of soft wood. 2. The flex shaft which i installed as per the manual overheated and the wire melted away. 3. The cutting disk broke while in use and flew towards my face. Now i have a battle scar right below my lower lip. 4. There is sparking inside the machine. WEN industries should really look into these issues.

This is a good example of a generic rotary tool, and represents good value. But there's one important difference, and that is the thread size on the drive shaft. Original Dremel tools use a 0.28" shaft diameter, with a thread count of 40 TPI. This tool uses a metric value of approximately 8mm; and this means that any Dremel accessory intended to fasten directly to the rotating shaft - a miniature drill chuck, for example - will not fit. Adding to the frustration is that this specification isn't mentioned anywhere, with the result that you can easily wind up purchasing accessories that will fit a Dremel, but won't fit this. And indeed, that is what happened to me. So, a word to the wise: try to determine if the thread size of the shaft is compatible with original Dremel accessories. I can tell you that this tool is not. EDIT: Since writing this review, i have found two chucks on Amazon that will fit this rotary tool. Here are the links: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B019NYNLLI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the genuine Wen rotary tool chuck, here: https://www.amazon.ca/2305-KC-Keyless-Rotary-Tool-Chuck/dp/B072LXHBHP/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=wen+rotary+tool+chuck&qid=1583980808&s=hi&sr=1-3 I purchased the less expensive one, and can verify that it works well. Given that this tool is supplied with a flexible shaft extension, the availability of this chuck probably means that there's no reason to avoid purchasing this tool as a result of incompatibility. The vast majority of accessories will fit in the jaws of this chuck, so with the addition of this chuck you basically sidestep the incompatibility issue.

- Poor bit quality. - Shaft and motor overheats very quickly - when using bits with a large diameter on low rpm, bit oscillation is very high. Hence unable to use. Could be dangerous even for power users.
