Winsor & Newton Winton Oil Color, 200ml (6.75-oz) Tube, Viridian Hue

This is by far the best red oil paint EVER! It’s bright but, deeply saturated and last so long!! It’s gorgeous and I use it for my small business. It is absolutely worth the price! You cannot find this color anywhere else. Because of the color quality, it can be a little staining but, does come off the hands with good washing!

As an oil painter, I'm always on the lookout for high-quality paints that don't break the bank. Winsor & Newton's Winton Oil Colors have become my go-to for that exact reason. Specifically, I'm in love with their Permanent Alizarin Crimson. This color is just gorgeous. It's a rich, deep, and vibrant crimson that mixes beautifully with other colors. I use a mix of Artist's and Winton colors, and honestly, sometimes I can't even tell the difference! If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality Alizarin Crimson (or any oil paint, for that matter), I highly recommend giving Winsor & Newton's Winton Oil Colors a try. You won't be disappointed. This Permanent Alizarin Crimson has become a staple in my palette.

Was a little skeptical when i received this shade, it arrives as more of a brown green, however the quality of the paint was superior and i still achieved the desired color thank you. Great product. The Indian red was spectacular i loved how easy it was to mix and change the shade. Wonderful

Inexpensive and all-right quality, but can spit out oil and do not apply particularly well.

I never buy up-market earth-tones. The pigment is literally dirt, so any extenders would cost more than the pigment. Highly saturated. Absolutely consistent density, pigment saturation and chroma. Has the slightest translucency so a work horse for underpainting, impasto or tempering glazes. Remember - “buttery” just means extra oil, less pigment and a premium price - you can always add a bit of oil if you like butter! Happy painting.
