Unlike other shakers I have tried, this one is short and stocky - the design makes it easy to hold while shaking the contents, less likely to topple over, easy to store, easy to carry in my hand and quiet. The shaker doesn't have a plastic ball rattling around inside ( there is a "shaker" element built into the lid), so it doesn't rattle when being carried around. For those of us who don't have dishwashers, the wide design of this shaker makes it very easy to wash (I can get my hand right down to the bottom of the shaker). Finally, I like the fact that the lid is screw-on and can be completely removed for cleaning (I prefer this to the flip-up lids which I find difficult to clean thoroughly). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant - much better than "classic" shakers *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 5 August 2023* Don't be put off by the higher price!
