How long are these pads? 6" x 3" x 1" is the package dimensions not the brake pad dimensions.

The contact surface of the pad is just under 2" long and under 1/2" wide. I hope this answers your question.

how log are these pads???

I bought these for my brother, who has a Trek and a Schwinn Mountain bike, i had a ten speed about 6 years ago, I dont think the calipers have not changed size or shape in decades. Looking at them, they seem pretty standard sized. however on the spec sheet on amazons site, the Product Dimensions: 6 x 3 x 1 inches. You can certainly measure your current pads, to see if length is right. Or just go local if you can if you dont want to gamble, but with Amazons return policy, either way you will be fine.
