Is it safe to run from a bog standard extension lead via 240v 13amp plug??** A: Hi,I have owned this welder must be over 6months now, I always have run it from a standard extension lead and never had an issue, very good welder for the money, I highly recommend it **Q: Has everyone checked their plug for a fuse instead of a copper bar like in the reviews?** A: very danerous if it has a cooper bar instead of fuse wall sockets are max 15amp this welder is 25amp so you are overloading by 10amps running the risk of fire and tipping the breaker i would advise agaist this im reporting to trading standards on this matter **Q: Hey may be basic question, but why I can't use 6013 rods in this welder?** A: It can run 6013's. It's 6010's that it can't run. This is because the open circuit voltage is not high enough. I think this applies to many inverter welders. It should be able to run 6011's, 7014's & 7018's etc ok. **Q: How long is the power lead please?** A: Hi. lead is of adequate length to connect between my work area and socket. Regards ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ welding set *by R***P on 18 June 2026* good little welder ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good little inverter for the money *by D***G on 30 June 2026* Works well no hot start but if experienced no an issue ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value but change the fuse for a real 13 amp fuse . *by C***H on 24 April 2025* The first thing I did when I received the welder was check out the fuse in the plug as other reviews have noted it is an issue. This one had a fuse that said it was a BS1362 30 amp which doesn’t actually exist so is fake . 1362 fuses only go up to 13 amp . I simply replaced it with a real 13 amp fuse , this is the only reason I didn’t give it full five stars . I imagine if you are using high amps for long periods you could blow the fuse unless you changed the plug and used an industrial plug socket arrangement for this purpose. A very capable little inverter welder for the cost and perfect for transporting around. The leads are an ok length and are in a tough rubber. I have run half a dozen 2.5mm rods when I wrote this review and it was easy enough to get a consistent arc going once struck . The fuse didn’t blow nor did the welder overheat. I noticed it has a 40% duty cycle on its high output = 4 minutes welding in every 10 minutes on high power.
