Luckily, this standalone replacement was available—and it worked perfectly right out of the box. 2. Product Performance Pairing the new monitor with our existing Infant Optics cameras was quick and easy. We didn’t have to reset or reconfigure anything complicated. The connection is strong, the video quality is just as clear as before, and we’re back to monitoring both kids without any interruptions. Battery life is solid, and all the familiar controls work just as expected. 3. Pros Instantly compatible with existing DXR-8 cameras Saves money by not replacing the full system Great video and audio quality Easy setup and reliable performance 4. Cons None so far. It’s working just like our original unit did. 5. Final Thoughts This monitor was the perfect solution for replacing a broken screen without the cost of a full new set. If you already have DXR-8 cameras, this is a no-brainer. It saved us time, money, and a lot of bedtime stress.

Gladys was a lifesaver helping with the replacement of the monitor. The battery life was going on my first monitor and when i went to take the original battery out, the prongs snapped making the monitor unusable in less it was plugged into the wall which isn’t conducive for running around getting stuff done while your kids napping. Appreciate the quick turn around

I want to first start by saying I purchased this infant optics camera and monitor back in 2023 and then again I purchased another monitor back in 2024. I’m rating it a one star because the quality of the camera is pretty good both in the daytime and at night time. But on the other hand, the monitor does not hold a charge for longer than an hour. So I’ve constantly had to keep it on the charger throughout the day. It also does not last throughout the night, so I have to sleep with it on the charger just to be sure that it doesn’t die when we’re sleeping. But when you keep it on the charger too long it overheats and it’s like I can’t win with this thing. Also as a few months ago, the buttons to move the camera in different directions have stopped working. On plenty of occasions the monitor just starts moving in every which direction on its own to the ceiling to the ground just everywhere to the point I’m not able to see my kids on the camera anymore. Even when I try and move the camera back to view my kids, I’m not able to gain control because the buttons work sometimes and then sometimes they don’t. I honestly believe the infant optics camera and monitor are too expensive to be having these problems and not being able to last longer than two years. I would not recommend buying this product.

We have enjoyed this monitor for 3.5 years now. The monitor part of the unit started to malfunction on me after 9 months or so on our replacement one and the company was great about getting us a replacement out quickly since it was under warranty.

Unit works for unit with water damage, but ultimately ridiculous price to not come with a battery.

I have had the best customer service with this company. They have helped me replace/ troubleshoot my devices and really understand how important this product is. And the pro is a great upgrade with time and video quality.
