Great safe, spacious, sturdy
This is a great safe!! Plenty of room inside, keypad lock works great!! Super value. Haven't had a fire yet, so I can't tell you if that works, haha.

A good safe for its purpose: fire and only partly theft
A well designed device. It does need those dehumidifier things in it to control buildup of moisture - as all of these firesafes do.

Great lockbox but awkward
Box is really heavy and awkward to transport without a handle. I know a safe should be heavy, and I bought it knowing it didn't have a handle, so buyers should know what to expect. I don't expect to transport this much, so it isn't a problem for me. I like the quick access with keypad and option to use key.

Five Stars
Perfect for my needs. Too small for insurance folders to lay flat in though.

Worst Design Ever: Doesn’t fit papers, lock is weak
This is one of the worst engineered products that I have ever seen. A stack of 8.5 x 11” papers won’t lie flat inside. Forget about it if you have things in simple folders. I can’t imagine what they thought we’d all be storing in something fireproof and waterproof (tiny notes on tiny notepads?), but this ain’t good for much (and the product description is misleading at best) Also, the digital keypad numbers don’t sync well with the lock. It beeps and whurrs and sounds like it’s locking something down. But it only closes and secures when you close the clasp. It’s not hard to not realize that it’s not closed and this is just dumb, cheap design. Get the Honeywell or something else. This is junk.

Security
well made safe but very heavy due to high fire resistance.

Two things that the instructions leave out
One: The top of the safe has to be closed in order for you to set your personal code. They don't tell you this, so I tried repeatedly to set it while the top was open. Only discovered this when I shut the safe in frustration and later tried again. I did have the keys, but wanted to set the code. NOW it works fine. You will need a very small phillips screwdriver to remove the code setting button cover. Why not include such a little tool, since not everyone will have one??? Two: Instructions strongly recommend that all documents be place in a "dishwasher safe" box inside the safe. If this is crucial, why not include one? Nor did such a box pop up in the "People who bought this safe also bought" list. I am not sure such a box easily can be found. Also: Such a box will take up considerable room in the 8" x 12" by 5" deep interior. Letter-size 8 1/2" by 11" sheets just fit into the interior without such a plastic box, and the 8" wide means sheets have to curve slightly. That said, it is a reasonable size and weight, and cost, and I chose it because of the dual access methods. It will be OK, but I can't recommend it wholeheartedly.

Perfect size!
Was surprised at how much room this safe has. Perfect size for what I use it for. Easy to use. Love the two safety keys in case I forget the combo. Will highly recommend.

We ordered this safe for our son living in Calgary. He just called and said that the digital lock is not working. This feature is what we wanted. After numerous tries following the directions, the digital lock will not function. To return the item is difficult as it was a Christmas gift. We would settle for a replacement or a refund . Please let us know what can be done! Thank you, Ruben
