FANTASTIC! Enough glare reduction in sunshine whilst clear enough to wear in darker conditions. I'm able to go from bright sun to shade without having to take off or change glasses. Great wind protection- fantastic actually. Comfortable. I ride a scooter tho so they look a bit silly on me - not stylish at all (in fact I look quite funny), but very practical. Some say tint isn't good enough in bright sunshine - its not as good as polarised sunnies, but it certainly does the job. I will definitely buy again when these ones need updating.

Work best in lower light - fit well in a helmet
These sunglasses fit well under a full-face helmet. The Bobster web site says that this model allows 85% of light in while indoors, and 32% in while outdoors in bright sunlight. For comparison, their Clear lenses let in 89.9% of light, while Smoked Reflective only allow in 8%. So, know what you are buying. These are great in very low light conditions and OK in sunlight. They are not ideal for very bright conditions. I think that 32%-85% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) range is fairly typical for Day-Night photochromic lenses. If you want lenses that get darker but don't have as large of a range, consider some of the other Bobster photochromic offerings. For a comparison of VLT ranges, check out the Tifosi Fototec web site. And for a description of VLT, read REI's "How to Choose Sunglasses" page. Understand that all photochromic lenses need UV light to change, so they won't work behind a UV-blocking car windshield or helmet visor. They also take longer to change in cold conditions. These sunglasses are not stylish, but they block wind well to prevent contact lenses from drying out. They do not have the features of say the $250+ Adidas Terrex Pro or Terrex Fast, but they are a good value for $36.

Nice but doesn't get dark enough
Fairly priced glasses.I followed other reviewers suggestions about putting in the freezer and than direct sunlight to activate the chromatic effect of these glasses. It did not nothing to improve the functionality of the glasses. During bright sunlight they do not get dark enough. I'd say these are only good for early morning or dusk when the sun is setting.

This is my second pair and I love them just as much as the 1st
This is my second pair and I love them just as much as the 1st. Both pairs are in use now and the fit and function are perfect for twilight and night riding.

Wouldn't waste my money on them again
Works ok for cooler weather. I bought them for mountain biking. There's not much air vents causing them to fog up if not moving quickly.ihave a large head (7 3/8") and they are on the small side. The transition lenses are a failure. Slightly smoke colored lense works well for riding in low light but not full sun. Wouldn't waste my money on them again.

Good and dark enough
Top notch glasses. Despite a few negative posts I bought these. I ride a motorcycle year round and need glasses that have transition type lenses. These are the ones I use. I got them, put them in the freezer one hour, then put them in a dark room. After that I expose them to sunlight and that's it. They work fine and got great.

Impossible to work with.
My husband was so excited about these glasses. He loves the frame unfortunately they are not anti-fog and to make matters worst they build up condensation making it impossible to work with. In his line of work he can't be wiping down his safety glasses. It's too bad that their main function doesn't work.
