Manual screwdriver was plenty (the crisscross screwdriver)

No the holes are drilled for one place. It is a gorgeous desk tho, excellent value for money

We have bought this. There are no instructions

We had an instruction manual in a bag with all the screws in buy we didn't really use it to be honest as it was easy and straightforward to build, we only referred to it to check everything was there in the beginning

How much chair space is there?

There's plenty of space to tuck a chair fully under. My daughter uses hers as a makeup table and often sits tight to the table.
