Took three applications of small drops, but could feel the 'grit' in the gel grabbing and it immediately increased the "grip" of the allen wrench and enabled the gradual removal of the stripped screw. Remember to clean it off after you use it, especially to keep the grit out of screw threads. Maybe not for all applications, and don't wait until the screw head is totally stripped, but it definitely worked in this case. Would buy it again. Could not have gotten that stripped screw off my front door lock and lever without it. It took some education. First, use the appropriate screw head. I was a using a pointy one. Used my regular Philips head and it came off with no problem (except a little torque). Wear rubber gloves to get the maximum hold on your screwdriver too. Will definitely buy again.
