This has become a staple in our kitchen and a regular reorder. The coarse flakes have a clean, pure taste that really enhances food without being overly salty. It’s perfect for seasoning steaks, roasting vegetables, and even finishing dishes. I like that it’s non-iodized, non-GMO, and made in the USA, it feels like a higher-quality option compared to standard table salt. The 12oz lasts quite a while, but we always end up restocking because it’s become our go-to. If you cook often and want a simple way to upgrade your dishes, this is worth keeping on hand.

If it's as healthy as the claim , great product

We stumbled upon this salt because of Lead Safe Mama/Tamara Rubin’s independent testing for heavy metals in salt. There are currently only 2 other salts on the market that she has found to have no heavy metals just like Jacobsen’s Sea Salt from Oregon. With there being so few salts low in heavy metals, I was concerned I wouldn’t like this salt due to lack of options. Fortunately this has been a good addition in our home. It tastes nice and the larger texture makes it easy to oversalt things, however sometimes that’s a good thing. We have a lot of salt lovers in our home who enjoyed really tasting it and the larger texture helps. We will be buying again.

This salt was originally gifted to me and I enjoyed it throughly. This is now my second time buying it. It’s not overly salty, so you can enjoy sprinkling the flakes. They melt easily and are delicate so they aren’t crunchy or gritty. They are light and thin. One bag fills up my salt canister all the way. I think it took me about 2 months to eat through all of it, I was applying it liberally to everything.

I discovered Jacobson’s Oregon sea salt after it was tested by Tamara/LeadSafeMama Labs. Their Oregon salt was the only salt that actually tested low to no lead or other heavy metals. Their Italian salt did not test well. She has recently tested the GREEN box of Maldon, which also tested no lead. We replaced our Celtic salt and pink salts several years ago as a result of them testing high lead and a couple of other metals. Now we only use Jacobson‘s Oregon sourced salt, and have recently added back Maldon’s green box flake salt as well as it is slightly more cost-effective. Jacobson‘s kosher salt is not too large (the one that sold in the canister) and works quite well in our salt grinder. This flake salt is perfect for grilled meats. I also throw it into my pasta water.

This has spoiled me for all other salt and I do appreciate the low lead levels.

Nice salt, 4 oz is smaller than you think. Too $$$$ for my taste.

This stuff is great. Very little to almost zero traces of anything other than salt. I use this to make my own hydration powder and wanted the cleanest salt I could find. This is it!

Very pleased with this salt , will definitely be buying again , my only issue would be I would like to have bought it in a larger quantity . Apart from that it’s the best !

It’s a job to know if this is good as time will only tell , like other reviews mention, this is a small pouch , but I went for it due to the fact it said it had no metals and I am trying to detox from heavy metals

Great quality salt... but way overpriced!
