I got this as a birthday gift for my Fiancé, and she is absolutely in love with it.It's gorgeous, with a beautiful sound.She is very happy, so I am very happy.5 stars, and 2 thumbs way up.

The media could not be loaded.  I was nervous to buy this because I read a lot about dead keys and sometimes if you buy a kalimba online the keys will come to you already dead. This was not the case! My keys were wonderful. The quality is very good. Wonderful craftsmanship. Affordable and easy to learn. I've been playing for one month and I am already memorizing key placement and am playing more fluently. Even my 4 year old can play some simple songs. I highly recommend this item!

I have this sitting on my coffee table and enjoy picking it up occasionally to try and pick it songs I just remembered. It's a fun way to pass some time. It looks great and sounds good to me as well. I think it would make an attractive gift for a litt of people.

This is really well made. The tone is terrific. However, I bought the 21 key model and the high”E” note (far right hand side) produces no discernible musical note. It’s produces a sound like hitting a nail in a piece of wood.That being said, the craftsmanship is great, the case seems durable and the tuning hammer is a nice add-on. Buy this, but opt for the 17 note model.

We bought the piano as a gift for a beginner. She was playing a song the same day after watching a couple of videos. It was her favorite Christmas gift this year. The craftsmanship was beautiful and the sound was heavenly. I love the case that came with the piano also. It was a great value for the quality of product that we received. I would recommend this product to anyone that loves playing musical instruments.

I was so impressed with the quality of this instrument (visual and sound) that I have ordered a second one as a gift for a musician near and dear to me. I am sure they will love it.

The media could not be loaded.  I am pleased with this kalimba. Is nicely built from medium brown mahogany wood. Has a light smooth layer of protective coating. The rounded edges and grooved palm rests are designed to be held and used comfortably. Because of the more square shape, the style can be a challenging reach for those with smaller hands and shorter fingers. Just takes some practice to adjust. Has a noticeable sturdy weight. The E6 ( far upper right E-3 ) was dull when first arrived. Originally switched tine out with another brand. Made the tine more flexible and placed back. Now sounding much clearer and in tune. There is a moderate curve of the tine tips which make thumb plucking easier. The engraved numbers and notes are larger and quickly readable. Tines are smooth and shiny. Comes with the usual accessories that include a firm protective case. Note that the case does not include a net pocket or a band to secure the kalimba but it fits well. The hammer is the bullet shaped style which is great for tapping in tighter spaces and when just a light tap is required for tuning. Usually helpful for shorter tines. Cannot be used to get in between the tines. Note that the video sound was taken from a hand held size camera's built in microphone. Middle note is F. Tree stickers not included. To conclude I think it's a good purchase for a first kalimba but more for experienced players. A good collection add on and for a unique gift.

I'm really impressed with this! Always a bit wary of buying items not locally-made as I'm worried about the quality, but this kalimba seems very well-made. I ended up tuning it to A minor as most of the songs I play are in a minor key. It took about 5 minutes to tune it and fix a few other keys that needed tuning. Love the shock-proof case as I plan on taking this to the beach and camping. It was also easier to play than I thought it would be. I play piano and the notes are oriented differently, but it has such a nice marimba-esque sound that it's fun to play and soon I had the hang of a few songs (haven't tried the songbook yet).

I love this thing. Even if you're just messing around and don't know how to play it still sounds nice.As someone who hasn’t done any musical learning since elementary school, it was quite easy and rewarding to be able to learn the notes again and to go over scales.It was relatively easy to begin learning songs as well, the book comes with a few but they are a little confusing unless you know how to read the tab. I just went to YouTube - within a week and some practice I had one or two popular songs down on the kalimba
